본고는 이미 알려진 󰡔한고관외사󰡕의 일실된 작품들과 그 존재를 재검토한 것 이다. 그 결과는 첫째 이제까지 하버드대학 소장본과 장서각 소장본을 비교해 서 모두 8책 자료가 일실된 것으로 파악되었지만 실제로 일실된 자료는 ｢이씨 서정록｣[제4책], ｢병진정사록｣･｢필원잡기｣[제5책], ｢필원잡기｣･｢소문쇄록｣ [제6책] 및 ｢동각잡기｣[제16책] 뿐임이 확인되었다는 것이고, 둘째 현재 일실 된 자료 중, ｢이씨서정록｣은 총2권이므로 󰡔한고관외사󰡕권7,권8(제4책)에 수록 되었고 저자는 李蕆이며, ｢병진정사록｣은 총1권이므로 󰡔한고관외사󰡕권9(제5 책)에 수록되었고 저자는 李穆이며, ｢소성기축록｣은 李壽慶의 저작임을 밝혀내 게 되었다는 것이고, 셋째 일실여부와 관계없이󰡔한고관외사󰡕 개별 작품의 필사 연도를 하나하나 확인할 수 있게 되었다는 것이다. 그 결과 자료 수집면에서 완본을 찾으면 바로 기록하는 김려의 대단한 열정을 확인할 수 있었고, 그런 자료들을 초두에서 말미까지 그대로 보충해 넣음으로 써 󰡔한고관외사󰡕의 신뢰도를 높이고 있음을 확인하게 되었다. 그렇다고 그의 제후문이 당색을 완전히 탈피하여 객관적인 측면에서 작성되었다는 의미는 아 니다. 정치적으로 그는 엄연히 노론학자였음을 간과할 수 없다. 그럼에도 그를 더 높이 평가하고 싶은 것은 당색이 다르고 정치적 시각이 다름으로 해서 비판 의 대상은 삼았을지언정 결코 자료 폐기를 하지는 않았다는 사실이다. 결과적으로 그가 완본을 소개하려 애쓰고 거기에 비평문까지 수록하였음이 단순히 야사 수집에만 있었던 게 아니라, 비판은 할지언정 왜곡하지 않는다는 기록자의 자세를 보여주며 실천한 인물임을 알 수 있게 한다는 것이다. 그러기 에 한고관외사의 일실 자료를 바로 잡는 작업이 그만큼 중요한 의미를 가질 것 이다.

Even though Hangogan-Woisa is very important historical materials, we haven't it. therefore we have many difficulty for their character of each works or examination of criticism of author Kim-Ryo(金鑢). So I will certify their character of each works though Kangsa that Maema Kosaku [前間恭作, 1868~1942] already had shaw it. we have certified their being, scale contents etc. In the Result we have know that a clerical terms does not accrued. The first, being of the lost his works is only four books. the other has the library of Harvard Univ. Hanchen-Samkanki(寒泉三官記, N58), Kanong-Umuk(艮翁疣墨, N61) etc. is not lost. The second, among the being of the lost his works, Yisi-Serjongrok (李氏西征錄, N4) is two volumes and that write by Yi-Chen(李蕆), Bengjin-Jongsarok(丙辰丁巳錄, N5) is one volume. there that will write down it in volume nine, and that is written by Yi-Mok(李穆), Soseng-Kichuk(笑醒己丑錄, N65) is written by Yi-Sukeang(李壽慶). The third, we have certified their clerical terms whatever nothing of Hangogan-Woisa to do it. Kim-Ryo has many fervor for correcting of materials, he fills it up from the first to the end. so he heightened trust of Hangogan-Woisa but politically he is old major scholar, so he doesn't understand his opinion which his works write out a document. however we appraise him because he doesn't take it off. In the event, he tried to introduce correct materials, this will be very important works for our study.
