본 연구의 목적은 상담을 전공한 초등학교 교사가 학교에서 상담을 하면서 겪는 어려움 유발 변인과 그것을 야기하는 상황은 무엇인가를 질적연구를 통해 알아보는 것이었다. 이를 위해 상담 을 전공 중이거나 전공한 초등학교 교사 15명을 대상으로 초등학교 현장에서 겪는 상담의 어려움 에 대해 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 그리고 인터뷰 자료에서 얻은 축어록을 합의적 질적 분석법 (CQR)을 통해 분석 및 합의과정을 거쳐 각 영역에 해당하는 내용을 추출하였다. 그 결과 상담을 전공한 초등교사가 느끼는 어려움의 유발변인은 다음과 같다. 우선 ‘상담 개념에 대한 미정립’ 영 역에는 ‘상담에 대한 좁은 인식’과 ‘교사와 상담자 간의 역할 혼란’이라는 학교상담의 어려움 유발 변인이 포함되었다. ‘상담 역량 부족’ 영역에는 ‘상담 전개 및 평가 능력의 부족’, ‘상담 실습의 부 족’이 포함되었고, ‘소진’ 영역에는 ‘정신적 소진’과 ‘육체적 소진’이 포함되었다. 그리고 ‘상담을 어 렵게 하는 학교 환경’ 영역에는 ‘학교의 구조적 어려움’, ‘상담 시간 확보의 어려움’, ‘학생과 학부 모의 상담에 대한 동기 부족’이 포함되었다. 이 연구는 학교상담 시 어려움을 유발하는 요인을 보 완 및 제거하여 효율적인 상담환경을 조성하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to find out factors causing school counseling difficulties perceived by elementary school teachers of child counseling major. In order to solve the questions, interview about the counseling experiences in school was performed with fifteen elementary school teachers of child counseling major in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do area. And then researchers extracted areas, induced factors, and induced situation through Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR). The results were as following: First, the areas of difficulties perceived by elementary school teachers of counseling psychology major were 'Unestablished concept of elementary school counseling', 'Lack of counseling competence', 'Burnout', 'School environment unconducive for successful counseling'. Second, 9 factors causing counseling difficulties were induced. The factors causing 'Unestablished concept of elementary school counseling' were 'Narrow concept of counseling' and 'Role confusion between a teacher and a counselor'. The factors causing 'Lack of counseling competence' were 'Lack of capability to assess and proceed counseling' and 'Lack of counseling exercise in the elementary school field. The factors causing 'Burnout' were 'Emotional burnout' and 'Physical burnout'. The factors causing 'School environment unconducive for successful counseling' were 'Structural problems in the school', 'Difficulties of securing counseling hours', and 'Lack of counseling motivation of students and parents'. Implications and limitations of current study were discussed.
