◉ 목적 : 청각장애 아동의 감각통합 문제에 관한 문헌을 종합하여 작업치료적 관점에서 감각통합에 대한 평가 및 중재의 필요성을 확인하고자 하였다.
◉ 연구방법 : 2006년 1월부터 2015년 5월까지 출판된 청각장애가 있는 아동의 감각통합에 대한 문헌을 대상으로 하였으며 온라인 검색엔진은 PubMed, Scupus, Web of science 그리고 학술지검색은 American Journal of Occupational Therapy를사용하여문헌을수집하였다. 검색에사용된용어는“children”, “deaf”, “hard of hearing”, “persons with hearing impairments”, “hard of hearing”, “hearing impairments”, “sensory integration”, “Sensory processing”와 “occupational therapy”이다. 선정된 문헌은 각 연구의 특성과 근거의 강점을 평가하여 근거수준에 따라 요약하였다.
◉ 결과 : 선정된 연구는 총 4편이며 연구참여자는 91명이었다. 청력손상이 있는 아동은 청각과 전정감각의 손상 외에도 구강감각, 촉각, 시각에서의 제한이 있어 감각통합의 장애로 인한 일상생활의 어려움이 초래되었다.
◉ 결론 : 청각장애 아동의 감각통합에 대한 면밀한 분석과 함께 작업치료적 관점에서 청각장애 아동의 감각통합에 관한 정확한 평가 및 중재의 시행이 요구된다.

◉ Objective : The objective of this review is to analyze the study on sensory integration in children who are hard of hearing to determine the role for occupational therapy.
◉ Methods : The reviewer researched studies on sensory integration for children with hearing loss from January 2006 to May 2015. Information was found using PubMed, Scupus, Web of science and American Journal of Occupational Therapy with search terms “children”, “deaf”, “hard of hearing”, “persons with hearing impairments”, “hard of hearing”, “hearing impairments”, “sensory integration”, “sensory processing” and “occupational therapy”. The reviewer each assessed study characteristics and rated study indicationwide strength of evidence.
◉ Result : There were a total of 91 participants in the 4 selected articles. The data showed that atypical behaviors were present in all domains but were most prevalent in auditory and vestibular processing, followed by oral and tactile processing and least prevalent in visual processing.
◉ Conclusion : This literature review highlights the essential role of occupational therapy be beneficial for planning both assessment and intervention strategies for children with hearing loss.
