이 연구의 목적은 소프트볼 코치의 리더십 유형과 성원만족, 성취동기 및 집단응집력의 관계를 규명하는데 있다. 전국 10개 팀의 등록선수 중 동일한 코치와 동일한 팀에서 1년 이상의 소속 경험이 있는 선수 전원을 대상으로 선수의 개인적 특성, 코치의 리더십 행동유형, 성원만족, 성취동기, 집단응집력에 관해 자기평가기입법으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 일원변량분석과 중다회귀분석법 그리고 경로분석을 통하여 분석한 결과 선수의 개인적인 특성은 성원만족, 성취동기, 집단응집력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 따라서 코치의 리더십 행동유형은 성원만족과 성취동기를 통하여 집단응집력에 직?간접적으로 영향을 미침으로써 관련 변인 간에 인과적인 관계가 내재해 있다고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between coach`s leadership style and member satisfaction, achievement motivation and group cohesion in softball team. It is expected that the results of this study will be for maximize softball game ability. Subjects for this study consisted of 110 players in softball. All softball players who are officially enrolled as players and player under same team and same coach for at least one year were participated in the study. The methods of statistics used to analyze the collect data are One-Way ANOVA. Multiple Regression analysis. Result obtained from this research are as follows :
Above results indicate that since leadership behavior style of softball coach directly ㆍindirectly have influenced on satisfaction of team members and achievement motivation, the casual relationship for variables is immanent.
