본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 체육교육 현장에서 아동의 자아 탄력성과 자아 통제에 대한 문항을 개발하고 개념적 구조를 검증하는 것이었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 2단계의 연구로 진행되었으며 첫번째 단계에서는 5명의 스포츠 심리학자와 2명의 심리 측정척도 전문가가 참여하여 개발된 문항에 대한 내용의 타당성을 검증하는 것이었다. 이어서 5인의 초등학교 교사가 각 문항에 대한 가독성을 조사하여 어린이들의 독서력에 맞게 문항을 수정한 다음 15명의 어린이에게 예비 조사를 실시하였다. 요인분석을 위해 230명의 데이터가 처리되었으며 각 문항의 정상분포 여부를 알기 위해서 기술통계를 알아보고 이어서 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하여 3요인 33문항이 추출되었다. 두 번째 단계의 연구에서는 첫 번째 단계에서 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 추출된 3요인 33문항을 확인적 요인분석을 통해서 요인과 문항을 확정하는 것이었다. 이 단계에서는 1차 연구에 참여하지 않은 192명의 데이터가 처리되었으며 각 문항에 대한 분포도는 정상분포를 보였고 이어서 실시된 확인적 요인분석도 3요인 33문항의 요인구조 모형이 데이타에 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 첫 번째 요인은 자아 탄력성이었으며 이 요인은 상황에 따라 개인이 잠정적으로 적응해 갈 수 있는 능력 요인이었다. 두 번째 요인은 과잉 통제 요인으로 보통 과잉 통제적 성향을 보이는 사람은 상황에 관계없이 충동과 감정을 억제하는 경향이 있다. 세 번째 요인은 과소 통제 요인으로 이 성향을 보이는 사람은 상황에 관계없이 충동과 감정을 지나치게 표현하는 경향이 있다.

The purpose of the study was to develop and validate content and construct-related ego-resilience and ego-control scale for elementary school physical education setting. The research was achieved through two stages. In the first stage 5 sports psychologists and 2 psychometric experts participated in selecting items, which had been developed by the researcher. Five elementary school teachers examined items for children's readability. Pilot test was done using fifteen elementary school children. The data of 230 were processed for descriptive statistics and exploratory factor analysis. Three factors and 33 items were extracted from the exploratory factor analysis. In the second stage of research, data of 192 were analyzed in confirmatory factor analysis. Descriptive statistics confirmed the data were normally distributed. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed that the three factors and 33 items extracted in the first stage of the research were adequately fit to the data. The first factor was 'ego-resilience' which is the ability to adapt one's level of control temporarily up or down as circumstances dictate. The second factor was 'over-control'. Usually over-controlled individuals characteristically contain impulse and affect across situations. The third factor was 'under-control'. Under-controlled individuals excessively express impulse and affect across situations.
