본 연구는 지리산국립공원에 방사한 반달가슴곰 개체군 보전과 복원을 위한 서식지로서의 여건을 객관적으로 평가하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 조사는 2008년부터 2010년까지 방사된 반달가슴곰 개체가 확인된 피아골, 빗점, 장당골, 뱀사골, 한신계곡, 칠선계곡에서 이루어졌다. 반달가슴곰의 조사연도별 행동권 크기에서는 뚜렷한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 95% Minimum Convex Polygon(MCP)법으로 분석한 계절별 행동권 크기는 수컷이 봄 25.64 ㎢, 여름 73.02 ㎢, 가을 41.58 ㎢, 겨울 6.11 ㎢이었고, 암컷은 봄 17.57 ㎢, 여름 27.45 ㎢, 가을 13.26 ㎢, 겨울 2.89 ㎢으로 수컷의 행동권이 암컷보다 큰 것으로 나타났다. 반달가슴곰의 성별 행동고도는 수컷이 암컷보다 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 계절별 평균 행동고도는 봄 894±33 m, 여름 852±20 m, 가을 985±67 m, 겨울 996±26 m로 나타나 반달가슴곰은 겨울에 다른 계절에 비해 가장 높은 행동고도를 가지는 것으로 분석되었다.
This study was carried out to provide basic information for assessment conditions as habitat to conserve and restore asiatic black bear released in Jirisan National Park. The field investigation at Piagol, Bitjeom, Jangdanggol, Baemsagol, Chilseon valley, and Hanshin valley which checked for habitat of released asiatic black bear were conducted from 2008 to 2010. There were no obvious differences in home range size of asiatic black bear by study year. The seasonal home ranges were analyzed 25.64 ㎢ for males and 17.57 ㎢ for female in spring, 73.02 ㎢ for males and 27.45 ㎢ for females in summer, 41.58 ㎢ for males and 13.26 ㎢ for females in fall, and 6.11 ㎢ for males and 2.89 ㎢ for females in winter based on 95% Minimum Convex Polygon (MCP) method, respectively. In average elevation by gender of asiatic black bear, the male was higher than the female. respectively. Average elevation by season were 894±33 m in spring, 852±20 m in summer, 985±67 m in fall, and 996±26 m in winter, respectively.
