이 글은 인천광역시 연수구를 대상으로 최근 개발된 도심에서 불교 문화콘텐츠를 구성하는 방향을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 이 글에서는 먼저 연수구의 지역적 특성을 파악하여 연수구의 문화적 원형을 정리하고 그 안에서 발견되는 연수구의 불교적 문화원형을 찾는다. 이어서 이를 바탕으로 기존에 진행되고 있는 문화자원에 결합하여 새로운 스토리텔링을 구성함으로써 연수구의 불교문화콘텐츠 구성의 실례를 모색하고자 한다. 최종적으로 연수구가 신흥 개발 도심임을 상기하여 이러한 작업이 불교를 전면적으로 내세울 일이 아니라 일반 인문학의 범주에서 수용 가능한 맥락으로 구성해야 함을 밝히고자 한다.
연수구의 기본적인 문화원형인 바다와 백제를 바탕으로 인문학적 관점으로 불교문화콘텐츠를 구성한다면 과거의 역사와 현재의 국제교류가 담긴 현대적이고 국제적인 콘텐츠가 가능할 것이다. 그리고 그것이야말 로 송도국제도시를 품고 있는 연수구의 미래와 한국문화의 미래를 만들어가는 바탕이 될 것이다.

In this article, we will look at ways to form Buddhist cultural contents in downtown areas that have recently been developed for training districts in Incheon. For this purpose, this article first identifies the regional characteristics of the hydrangea, organizes the cultural archetypes of the hydroponics, and visits the Buddhist cultural archetypes of the hydrologic zones found in them. Based on this, the government plans to combine the existing cultural resources to form a new storytelling system to explore examples of the composition of Buddhist cultural contents in the area. Finally, reminding us that the training district is an emerging development center, this work should be composed of acceptable contexts in the categories of general humanities, not in the full term of Buddhism.
If the Buddhist cultural contents are organized from a humanistic perspective based on the basic cultural prototype of the “Sea and Baekje,” it will be possible to provide modern and international content that contains past history and current international exchanges. And that will be the basis for creating the future of the training districts and the future of Korean culture that harbor the Songdo international city.
