『인자수지』는 명(明)나라 때 간행된 중국의 풍수문헌인데 기존의 풍수지리 문헌과 유학경전 등을 바탕으로, 풍수지리 내용을 4대 주제로 재구성하였다. 『인자수지』는 자연의 지형지세를 풍수지리 구도로 설명하였고, 풍수지리 용어, 실제 활용 사례, 길흉의 형상 등을 자세히 설명한 풍수지리 종합안내서이다. 『인자수지』는 다양한 그림을 덧붙여 풍수지리를 쉽게 이해할 수 있게 하였고, 풍수지리의 저변 확대에 공헌하였다. 『인자수지』의 용혈사수 주제 구성은 이후의 전문 풍수서들이 더욱 체계적으로 저술될 수 있는 바탕이 되었다. 『인자수지』의 영향으로 『탁옥부』가 저술 되었고 『탁옥부』는 조선시대 과거시험 과목이 되었다. 『인자수지』의 원래 명칭은 『인자수지자효지리심학통종(人子須知資孝地理心 學統宗)』이며, 1564년에 세상에 나왔고, 1583년에 초간본을 교정한 중간본이 간행되었다. 중국의 『인자수지』는 대부분 39권이다. 『인자수지』는 저술 100여 년 후 조선에도 전해져, 풍수학습 필독서로 간주되었다. 조선시대의 『인자수지』는 내용을 더욱 세분하여 47권으로 간행되었고, 음양묘용과 만년도를 포함한 53권 판본도 있다. 일부 판각은 현재 고려대 박물관에 소장되어 있다. 『인자수지』는 형기론을 위주로 이기론과 택일도 중시하였다. 책 전반에 걸쳐 기의 유기적 속성을 강조하였고, 개인과 국가의 미래는 풍수지리의 정확한 활용에 달려있다고 보았다. 『인자수지』는 전통문화에 대한 법고창신의 자세로 저술되었고 지식의 공유를 진작부터 실천한 대표적 사례이다.

Injasuji is a feng shui book of the Ming Dynasty. Based on the existing literature on feng shui, the book reconstructs the contents of feng shui in four themes. The composition of Injasuji became the basis for subsequent professional feng shui books to be written more systematically. Owing to the influence of Injasuji Takokbu was written and Takokbu became a feng shui test subject in the Joseon Dynasty. Injasuji came into the world in 1564, and in 1583, an interim version of the first edition was published. China’s Injasuji is mostly 39 volumes. Injasuji was handed down to Joseon more than 100 years later, and was considered a must-read book for feng shui learning. In the Joseon Dynasty, Injasuji was published in 47 volumes in further detail. The 53 volume edition includes Umyangmyoyong and Mannyendo. Some engraving remains at the Korea University Museum. Injasuji emphasized the vitality of the Qi and explained that the future of the individual and the country depends on the correct use of feng shui. Injasuji was written in a creative succession to traditional culture. This book is a representative example of the early practice of sharing knowledge.
