본 연구의 목적은 선교적 성경 해석학의 방법론을 고찰하는 것이 다. 최근까지, 학자들은 성경 본문 중심의 해석과 독자 중심의 해석에 따라 각기 다른 선교적 해석 방법을 제시하고 있다. 그러나 선교적 해석은 신앙 공동체 내에서 통합적인 성경 해석 방법론을 사용해야 한다. 이 글에서, 필자는 단계별 해석을 제안한다. 첫째, 선교의 본질과 형태를 이해하기 위해, 독자는 신·구약의 문학 세계 속에서 다루는 하나님의 선교 이야기를 탐구한다. 둘째, 선교적 공동체의 '자기-정의' 를 위해, 독자는 독특한 상황에서 성경 내의 공동체와 현대의 기독교 공동체의 선교적 성경 읽기를 탐구한다. 셋째, 독자는 신앙 공동체 내에서 자신들의 주관적 해석을 대화와 담론의 장으로 불러와서 보편적 해석의 의미를 만들어간다. 이 단계적 해석은, 각각의 해석적 국면에서, 독자들이 하나님의 선교를 이해하고, 그 선교에 참여하도록 하는데 목표를 둔다.

This study aims to examine the methodology of missional hermeneutics for the interpretation of Scripture. Recently, scholars read the Bible missionally by using a text-centered or a reader-centered approach. My argument is that a missional hermeneutic should use a comprehensive approach to the Bible within a hermeneutical community. This paper proposes the step by step interpretation methodology. First, readers understand the nature of God’s mission within the literary world of the text. Second, readers explore the missional reading of the Bible of both communities in the Bible, and modern Christian communities in a particular context. Third, readers reshape their subjective interpretation as a universal one within their faith-communities through dialogue and discourse. Ultimately, these phasic interpretations purport to make readers understand God’s mission and participate in the ‘mission.’
