탈근대 시대 이후에 호모 데우스 시대가 도래하면 신학적 인간학은 어떤 담 론을 모색할 수 있을까? 이 질문에 답하기 위해서 본 연구는 유발 하라리가 전 망한 호모 데우스 시대와 그 시대의 인간 이해를 분석하였다. 첨단기술의 발전으로 도래할 호모 데우스 시대는 소수의 엘리트들이 업그레이드된 초인간적 존재가 되어 불멸과 행복과 신성을 획득하는 시대이며, 더 나아가 유기적 알고리즘인 인간이 비의식적 알고리즘의 지배를 받는 묵시적 기술종교의 시대로 전망 된다. 따라서 이 시대에 근대적, 탈근대적 인간 이해는 해체되고, 인간은 첨단기술로 업그레이드되어 호모 데우스로 진보되거나, 만물인터넷에 흡수되는 존재로 전락할 것이다. 이런 전망은 신학적 인간학에 커다란 도전이 될 것이므로, 이 도전적인 전망에 대한 응전으로 신학적 인간학을 탐구해 보았다. 하라리의 전망에 나타난 인간 이해의 담론을 분석해 볼 때, 기독교는 거대 담론으로서 목적론적 인간학, 환원론을 극복할 바이오 로고스적 존재론, 그리고 신율에 기초 한 호모 렐리기오수스로서의 인간 이해를 강조함으로써 신학적 인간학 담론을 모색할 수 있을 것이다. 이런 담론들은 호모 데우스 시대에도 신학적 인간학을 여전히 유효하게 해 줄 것이다.

If the Homo Deus era arrives after the Postmodern times, to what discourse can theological anthropology seek? To answer this question, this study analyzed the Homo Deus era predicted by Yuval Harari. The Homo Deus era is expected to be an era in which a small number of elites become superhuman beings and acquire immortality, happiness and divinity, and an era of an apocalyptic religion of technology in which humans, organic algorithms, will be dominated by unconscious algorithms. Thus, modern and postmodern understanding of human beings will be deconstructed in this era. And human beings will be upgraded to high-tech and developed into Homo Deus, or reduced to being absorbed by the Internet-of-All-Things. This prospect will be a great challenge to theological anthropology, so I explored theological anthropology in response to this challenging prospect. Analyzing the discourse of the understanding of human beings in Harari’s outlook, Christianity could seek to do the discourse of theological anthropology by emphasizing objectivism anthropology as a grand récit, bio-logos existentialism to overcome the reductionism, and an understanding of human beings as a Homo Religiosus based on the theonomy.
