이 글은 1960년대와 1970년대 영등포산업선교회의 실무를 책임 진 조지송의 산업선교 활동을 제시하고 그의 산업선교 활동에 대한 선교신학적 해석을 제시하고, 그의 선교로부터 얻는 교훈을 제시하고자 한다. 영등포산업선교회의 산업선교는 평신도를 통한 산업전도, 노동 조합을 통한 산업선교, 소그룹 활동으로서의 산업선교로 전개되었다. 그의 산업선교는 성육신적 선교로서의 산업선교, 십자가의 길로서의 산업선교, 하나님의 선교로서의 산업선교, 현존으로서의 산업선교, 디아코니아로서의 산업선교, 노동의 신학과 산업선교, 산업선교와 돈, 노동조합 교회론: 노동자의 눈으로 본 한국교회, 산업선교와 구원 론, 바보들의 행진, 어릿광대 공동체로서의 산업선교이었다. 그의 산업선교로부터 얻을 수 있는 교훈은 실무자들에 대한 철저한 교육과 훈련, 실무자와 노동자 및 학생, 목회자, 총회 임원을 대상으로 한 광범위한 교육, 교육의 언어는 몸과 가슴을 움직일 수 있는 삶의 언어, 산업사회에서 현존으로의 선교 등이다.

The aim of the thesis is to suggest the history of the industrial mission done by Ji-song Jo of the Youngdeungpo Urban Industrial Mission from 1964 to 1979, to interpret his industrial mission from the perspective of theology of mission, and to learn from his industrial mission. His industrial mission consisted of three periods: the industrial evangelism conducted by laypeople, the industrial mission done by the union, and the industrial mission done by small group activities. His industrial mission was interpreted as incarnation, the missio Dei, presence, diakonia, and a community of clowns, and explained from the perspective of salvation, money and union ecclesiology. From his industrial mission, we can learn about subjects such as thorough education of ministers for the industrial mission, the industrial mission as presence, and the effectiveness of living words for education.
