이 연구에서는 대학 통일교육의 활성화와 20대의 통일에 대한 관심을 증진시키기 위한 대학 통일교육의 변화 방향을 민주시민교육과 결합 방 안을 중심으로 모색한다. 현재 20대 대학생 집단은 과거의 20대와 비교 할 때 북한에 대한 인식은 부정적으로 변했으며, 통일로 인한 경제적 어 려움과 사회문제의 증가 등에 대해 민감하게 받아들이는 태도에서 이전 세대보다 다소 개인주의와 실리주의가 강화된 것으로 파악된다. 이 세대 는 과거와 같은 내용과 방식의 통일교육은 수용하지 않는 반면, 표현의 가치를 중요하게 생각하는 세대이기에 이들 특성에 맞는 교육방안을 민 주시민교육과의 연계를 통해 제시한다. 제도적 차원에서 정부 정책의지 를 전제로 대학 통일교육의 강화를 위한 지속가능한 제도적 개선 방안을 제시하고, 다섯 가지 방향의 전환을 제시한다.

In this study, the direction of change in university unification education to promote interest in unification in the 20s is sought, focusing on the application of democratic citizenship education. The current group of college students has changed their perception of North Korea negatively compared to those in their 20s in the past, and their sensitivity to economic difficulties and social problems due to unification is somewhat stronger than the previous generation. This generation does not accept unification education in the same way as in the past, but considers the value of expression important, so it presents educational methods suitable for these characteristics through connection with democratic civic education. At the institutional level, under the condition of the government's policy will, sustainable institutional improvement measures for strengthening unification education at universities are presented, and five directions are proposed.
