오늘날 우리는 세계기독교와 후기식민주의적 선교의 시대에 살고 있다. 이 글은 이러한 시대에 맞는 협력 선교의 새로운 접근으로 “우정과 동행의 선교”를 제안한다. 이것은 협력 선교의 형제/자매애를 강조하는 접근이다. 우정과 동행의 선교는 2015년에 가톨릭 선교의 새로운 방향으로 제시되었던 “시노달리타스(동행)”의 선교를 신학적 근거로 삼는다. 이어서 이 글은 우정과 동행의 선교의 구체적인 여정으로 1. 함께 열린 대화하기, 2. 자원/경험을 함께 나누기, 3. 함께 세상을 향하여 증거하기의 세 단계로 제안하였다. 마지막으로, 우정과 동행의 선교가 구체적으로 개인적 삶에 어떻게 구현될 수 있는지를 설명하기 위해서 개인적인 우정의 선교 이야기를 세 가지 사례로 제시하였다.

We are living in the time of world Christianity and the post-colonial mission era. The study aims to provide the ‘mission of friendship and companionship’ as the new way of cooperative mission in this era. The study attempts to give special attention to the sister/brotherhood aspect of cooperative mission. The basis of ‘mission of friendship’ lies in the concept of synodality, which was a concept suggested by the Pope Francis in 2015 as the new direction of Catholic mission. Basing this idea, the writer suggests concrete steps for this mission as the following: 1. having open dialogue together, 2 sharing resources/experiences together, and 3. witnessing the world together. Finally, in order to explain how the mission of friendship and companionship can be specifically implemented in personal life, cases of personal missionary stories of long-standing friendship were presented.
