서평: 王寧 漢字構形學導論 (商務印書館, 2015) 한자 형태 구성의 원리와 근거에 대한 이론적 증명

Chinese Character Configuration Studies (漢字構形學) is a discipline that defines the conceptual units constituting Chinese characters and elucidates their synchronic and diachronic relationships, thereby articulating the principles governing these relationships. Following the establishment of its foundational theory in the late 1980s, Wang Ning’s initial publication, Lectures on Chinese Character Configuration Studies (漢字構形學講座), first appeared in 2002. A decade later, this expanded and refined work culminated in the publication of Introduction to Chinese Character Configuration Studies (漢字構形學導論) in 2015, reflecting Wang’s deepening insights into the field. In the preface, Wang emphasizes two crucial keys to recognizing Chinese characters: ideographic nature and the systematicity of configuration.
