본 연구는 오늘날 동서양을 대표하는 종교 불교와 기독교의 신앙적 기초와 발전 과정의 깊이를 알고 근본적인 차이와 유사성을 이해하고자 하는 필요성을 갖는다. 이에 두 창시자 의 종교체험을 비교하고 마(魔)의 시험은 무엇을 의미하며 마(魔)를 물리칠 수 있었던 힘은 무엇인지를 통해 그들의 종교를 시원적으로 이해하여 종교발전에 미친 영향을 이해하는 데 목적을 둔다. 불교의 자력(自力) 신앙과 기독교의 타력(他力) 신앙의 창시자인 붓다와 예수 의 종교체험을 살펴보고 첫째, 붓다와 예수는 종교를 어떻게 체험하였고 둘째, 종교체험 시 마(魔)의 유혹은 무엇을 의미하며 마를 물리칠 수 있었던 힘은 무엇인지에 대한 연구문제를 제시하여 다룬다. 결론적으로 마(魔)의 유혹은 세속적인 권력과 교환 조건으로 종교적 사명 을 단념시키려는 유사성을 가지며, 마(魔)의 극복은 종교가 형성되고 발전하는 데 결정적인 역할인 자력 신앙과 타력 신앙의 방법적 토대를 제공하고 있다. 기독교 신앙을 받쳐주는 하나님에 대한 믿음인 타력 신앙과 불교 신앙을 받쳐주는 지혜에 대한 믿음인 자력 신앙을 더욱 공고하게 해주며 신앙생활에 대한 이해를 도모하여 지속적인 영적 지도와 영감을 제 공한다.

The purpose of this study is to compare the religious experiences of the two founders and to understand the fundamental differences and similarities between the religious foundations and the development process of Buddhism and Christianity, which represent the East and the West today. Therefore, it aims to understand the impact on religious development by understanding their religion in a cool way through comparing the religious experiences of the two founders and what the test of Ma ( ) means and the power to defeat Ma ( ). It examines the religious experiences of Buddha and Jesus, the founders of the self-reliance faith of Buddhism and the inertia faith of Christianity ( ), and first, it presents research questions on how Buddha and Jesus experienced religion, what the temptation of Ma ( ) means, and what power was able to defeat Ma during the religious experience. In conclusion, the temptation of Ma ( ) has the similarity of trying to deter religious mission in exchange for secular power, and overcoming Ma ( ) provides a methodological foundation for self-reliance and inertia faith, which play a decisive role in the formation and development of religion. It further strengthens the self-reliance faith, which is the belief in God that supports Christian faith, and the wisdom that supports Buddhist faith, and provides continuous spiritual guidance and inspiration by promoting an understanding of religious life.
