본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 양육태도가 유아의 사회성발달에 미치는 영향을 분석해 보고 유아의 놀이성과 기질의 매개효과에 대한 검증을 통해 유아의 사회성발달 증진을 위한 이론적, 정책적, 실천적 방안 마련 의 기초자료를 제공하고자 함에 있다. 어머니의 양육태도가 유아의 사 회성발달에 미치는 영향으로 구성된 연구 모델을 구축하여 이에 따라 어머니의 양육태도와 유아의 사회성발달과의 관계에서 유아의 놀이성과 기질에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 어머니의 양육태도가 유아의 사회성발 달에 미치는 영향에서 유아의 놀이성과 기질이 매개변수로 작용하는지 의 여부를 검증하였다. 또한, 각 변수의 하위요인 간의 관계를 분석하여 이들 간의 영향 관계를 조사하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 구조모형을 통해 연구변인 간 영향 관계 를 검증한 결과, 어머니의 양육태도는 구조모형을 통해 연구변인 간 영 향관계를 검증한 결과 어머니의 양육태도가 유아의 사회성발달에 미치 는 영향에서 어머니의 양육태도는 유아의 사회성발달에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 어머니의 양육태도가 유아의 놀이성 과 기질에 미치는 영향에서 양육태도는 놀이성과 기질에 모두 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 유아의 놀이성과 기질이 유아의 사회성발달에 미치는 영향에서 놀이성은 사회성발달에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 어머니의 양육태도와 유아 의 사회성발달 간의 관계에서 유아의 놀이성과 기질 모두 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 어머니의 양육태도가 유아의 사회성발달에 미치는 관계에서 어머니의 양육태도와 유아의 놀이성, 기질이 매개변수로 작용 한다는 검증하였다. 이를 통해 어머니의 양육태도를 향상하여 유아의 놀이성과 긍정적 기질을 높여줌으로써, 유아의 사회성발달 증진을 위한 기초자료 제공과 방안을 마련했다는 점에 의의가 있다.
