본 연구는 한국소설 『82년생 김지영』과 인도네시아어 번역본 『Kim Ji-yeong Lahir Tahun 1982』 간의 비교 고찰을 통해 원작이 내포한 젠더 이슈와 페미니즘 주제가 번역본에서 충실히 구현되었는가를 살펴보 는 데에 목적이 있다. 이러한 논의를 위해 원작의 주제 구현 관련 핵심 적인 역할을 하는 여성 등장인물, 고순분, 김은영, 김은실, 김지영 이상 네 명의 인물 형상화가 번역본에서 재현된 양상을 살펴보았다. 분석 결 과, 『82년생 김지영』 인도네시아어 번역본은 목표언어 독자의 가독성을 고려한 의역, 단어의 표층적 의미 위주의 직역, 핵심 표현의 생략, 변환 등을 통해 작가가 여성 등장인물을 통해 전달하고자 한 페미니즘 메시지 와 젠더 이슈 관련 비판을 축소하여 전달하는 양상이 발견되었다. 이러 한 분석 결과는 페미니즘 문학에서 여성 등장인물의 목소리와 감정이 전 하는 젠더 이슈를 번역 과정에서 명확하게 반영할 수 있는 전략적 접근 이 필요함을 시사하며, 이러한 전략적 접근 중 하나로 페미니즘 번역 수 행의 가능성을 확인하게 한다.

This study aims to discussing whether the gender issues and feminist themes implicated in the original text are faithfully embodied in the translation text through a comparative analysis of the Korean novel Kim Ji-young, Born 1982 and its Indonesian translation, Kim Ji-yeong Lahir Tahun 1982 , from the perspective of feminist translation. The research examines the way in which characterization of four female characters who play key roles in conveying the themes of the original text, are reproduced in the translation text. The analysis reveals that characterization of four female characters was weaken or transformed in translation text, reducing the gender issues and the critical perspectives that the original text author presented in relation to each character. The results of this analysis suggest the need for a strategic approach to more clearly reflect the gender issues conveyed by the voices of female characters in feminist literature and confirm the potential of feminist translation as a strategic approach.
