The contact displacement sensors that are currently becoming popular in the shaking table tests are limited depending on their use environments; thus, the reality is that each equipment appears impractical considering its effectiveness and applicability. Therefore, in this study, to verify an algorithm for measuring the displacement responses of a structure using the line detection in the shaking table test, the test was conducted on a reinforced concrete frame.

The stresses occurred in the middle slab at the areas of the emergency passageway in a double-deck tunnel are analyzed when the slab is lifted to replace bearing pads placed between the middle slab and supporting bracket as a maintenance process. The middle slab can be lifted at several different points near the emergency passageway areas and the stresses of the middle slab depend on the lifting points. This study presents the effect of the lifting location of the middle slab on the stress occurrence for the maintenance work of replacing bearing pads under the middle slab near the emergency passageway areas.

This Study reviewed the case of Gyeonggi-do province which recently induced Drone to pavement management system in order to research a plan to utilize recent technology Drone to pavement management system which is being operated depending on vehicles and manpower for 30 years. After filming video on local roads managed by Gyeonggi-do province by using Drone directly and created point cloud having three dimensional coordinate and color value through program analysis. Furthermore, this research showed that when we found similar color to point cloud at pavement crack part and applied color, crack part was detected.

Emergency Action Plan (EAP) is predicted reservoir failure scenario of action plans to protect or minimize life loss or property damages for residents in the downstream area under reservoir failure situation. Current EAP has included some of qualitative measures, such as, overflow expected, expecting over flood water level, etc., also training is not enough to folow EAP processes. Therefore, EAP must be renewed under consideration of new emergency action phases, quantitative measures and electronic manual.

In this study, an effective maintenance and management strategies were discussed to secure a structural safety of small-scaled timeworn buildings in Seoul. The structural vulnerable characteristics should be analyzed to fix the order of priority on maintenance and management of lots of buildings. This study could be used for a policy establishment of Seoul.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the variation of tension of existing tendon by additional tendon installation. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the tension value was decreased overall compared with before tenden reinforcement. The cause of the reduction of tension is presumably due to the effect of reinforcement.

As for the recent need for maintenance of aging structures and tall buildings, the traditional structural inspection and management methods are expected to be enhanced with the automated structural health monitoring system. The system identification technique is deem to be a core deem of the structural health monitoring. In this study, a methodology of structural stiffness estimation is proposed to identify the state space model of the target structure from the dynamic behavior measurement data of the structure. Experimental verification of the physical quantity estimation technique is conducted.

The purpose of underwater survey is to provide basic data for proper maintenance and reinforcement to detect waterborne defects as early as possible, to prolong the life of bridges and to ensure safety. This study suggests an underwater investigation item and method to be observed by the inspector in checking the substructure of the marine bridge. However, due to the limit that can not deal with the characteristics of the area where maritime bridges are installed in detail, it is considered desirable to use this point as a minimum safety and performance standard in underwater survey sites and management bodies.

The Construction-Operations Building information exchange (COBie) is a standardized format to deliver information from the building information model (BIM) to the facility management (FM) system. This research presents a uniaxial static stress estimation method for concrete structures by using digital image correlation (DIC) and finite element method. DIC is employed to measure the displacement field, which is induced by drilling a small hole on the concrete surface. The initial static stress level can be estimated by comparing the measured displacement field to that from the corresponding finite element model. A series of experiments in the laboratory environment is conducted to validate the proposed method.

In this research, the measurement of vibration for stay-cable installed in cable stayed bridge was carried out by using wireless accelerometer. The vibration measurement data can be used for the evaluation of safety and serviceability of cable stayed bridge. The acquired data was analyzed for the evaluation of maximum vibration, tension force and fatigue. To verify the reliability of data, the additional measurements with total station and video camera. The data from three different measurement methods showed similarity within 15 % gap.

The durability of a steel floodgate can have disadvantage to corrosion damage, because it is often come in contact with high humidity condition. In this study, to evaluate the corrosion rate depending on installation environment of a steel floodgate, atmospheric exposure test was performed using corrosion environment measurement sensors and monitoring specimens. From the correlation between the mean corrosion depth and corrosion current, the corrosion rate was estimated depending on the installed environment for the member of a steel floodgate.

In this study, the compressive strength and elastic modulus of concrete mixed with electric furnace slag were evaluated. The concrete specimens were prepared using the steel slag as coarse aggregate and heavyweight waste glass as fine aggregate. From the results, compressive strength and the elastic modulus were improved with the addition of electric furnace slag.

Carbonation of reinforced concrete is a major factor in the deterioration of reinforced concrete, and prediction of the resistance to carbonation is important in determining the durability life of reinforced concrete structures. In this study, basic research on the prediction of carbonation penetration depth of concrete using Deep Learning algorithm among artificial neural network theory was carried out. The data used in the experiment were analyzed by deep running algorithm by setting W/B, cement and blast furnace slag, fly ash content, relative humidity of the carbonated laboratory, temperature, CO2 concentration, Deep learning algorithms were used to study 60,000 times, and the analysis of the number of hidden layers was compared.

In this study, the impedance of reinforced concrete embedded in concrete was measured and compared with W/B and admixture replacement ratio. As a result, the impedance of rebars increased in all frequency sections with increasing blast furnace slag replacement amount of cement in all W/B Respectively. It is considered that the electro resistance in the concrete increases due to the potential hydraulic properties of the blast furnace slag, and thus the polarization resistance also increases.

In this study, as series of studies to provide how to apply coal gasification slag(CGS) as one of byproducts for high strength concrete, from a newly introduced power generation method in Korea, the possibility of using a mixed aggregate with 25 percent of CGS as a concrete residual were investigated. The results indicated that the compressive strength of concrete using CGS at early age was lower than that using CS, but compressive strength at 28 days showed similar levels of strength enhancement.

In this research, Sensing Performance in Tensile Strain of Strain-Hardening Cement Composites by Containing of Carbon nanotube have been studied. The ultimate strength and strain were improved with increasing in amounts of CNT, and fractional change in resistivity were improved when same tensile strain. and %LE were decreased with increasing in amounts of CNT.

This study investigates the mechanical properties of SFRC reinforced by mixing different steel fibers with compressive strength of 70 MPa. In this study, The fiber aspect ratio consist of 60 and 80 and tensile strength is 1,100 MPa used. Cylindrical specimens with a ∅150×300 mm were made fo compression test, and prismatic specimens with a 150×150×550 mm were made fo flexural and direct shear tests. Test results show that the superior compression performance was observed in SFRC with Mixing different steel fibers.

This research uses carbon nanotubes (CNTs) that are actively used to develop convenient and systematic management of building blocks and structural performance monitoring, away from the difficulties of structural health monitoring such as RC structures. The change in electrical resistance was evaluated according to the amount of load and compressive load. Experiments were carried out with 1.0% and 2.0% CNT, and 30% and 60% compressive strength, respectively. Experimental results show that the compressive strength of CNT 2.0% is lower than the compressive strength of CNT 1.0% but is more sensitive to changes in electrical resistance due to compressive load.

This research and development analysis provides numerical analysis techniques that can be used conveniently to determining the safety of the current state and to predict the stability in the future. It also seeks to present algorithms of back analysis to develop unified management system for control, prediction, coordination, and information modeling that can reasonably handle appropriate responses to structural behavior at project sites and design changes.
