In water treatment facilities, cover having a various joint is applied to prevent the bad smell. In this study, each joint type of the aluminum cover that is applied to the sewage treatment facility, it was evaluated air tightness. As a result, it showed to be higher flat type better than stick out type.

Based on the study of researchers carried about SFRC, it was found that SFRC was effective to achieve flexural toughness according to higher volume fraction. On the other hand, higher volume fraction did not effect at compressive strength and toughness.

This study aims to establish complementary relationship among designer, builder, and maintenance manager by combining BIM(Building Information Modeling) technology with bridge safety diagnosis and maintenance to secure its effectiveness and systematization. To establish and maintain database by organizing quantities of data about existing case of safety diagnosis and maintenance, and develop the system to be used by practitioners.

Extended Accumulated SIBIE in order to improve the limit of visibility of Accumulated SIBIE method is a method to significantly improve the performance of measurements by extension the region of visibility to a low-frequency region. Decrease of resonant frequency displayed in the lower frequency region than the thickness frequency is due to reduction in rigidity by essentially degradation and cross-sectional loss of members. It is necessary to clarify the relationship between the resonance frequency and the deterioration or damage patterns to learn these patterns. In this research, by obtaining the vibration mode and the natural frequency by the eigenvalue analysis, it was confirmed that dynamic analysis which take time and effort can be minimized.

It is important to accurately predict natural frequencies of a cracked beam for damage assessment. The damage can be confirmed through the comparison of the natural frequencies of an intact beam to those of a target beam. This study formulates the natural frequencies of a cracked beam from wave propagation perspective. This formulation results in an explicit characteristic equation with respect to wave number through neglecting the evanescent wave modes traveling from long distance. The proposed method is validated through an numerical example in which several natural frequencies computed by the proposed method and finite element analysis are compared one after another.

Quality control of concrete during its curing process is crucial when it comes to reaching the ideal strength. This paper presents the basic study of optimizing concrete curing process by using Arduino platform based on the maturity method. The research has suggested a quality control of curing process by visualizing the curing temperature and its strength from web. The maturity method was coded into the web which allows managers to monitor regardless their locations.

This study is to investigate the ultimate strength and curling influence of single shear two bolted connection with 7075-T6 aluminum alloys. The validation of element analysis was verified through the comparison between test result and finite element analysis prediction and strength reduction rate by curling was estimated quantitatively. Moreover, additional parametric analysis with extended variables was conducted and the conditions of curling occurrence according to end distance and edge distance were proposed.

In this study, in order to understand the stratification characteristics of a lake, temperature monitoring by water depths was performed at the upstream of the ○○ dam. The seasonal stratification changes were investigated through the temperature data by water depths acquired during about 10 months.

The water tanks are widely used for the safe storage of potable water, which are installed on either the basement or the top floor inside of the buildings. Therefore, the water tank systems assembled with many unit panels are generally adopted and the rectangular plan water tanks are most popular. To resist the water pressure acting on the side walls of tanks the internally reinforced system using metal tie-bars has been most commonly used. However, many problems related to the lattice internal reinforcement system require the development of the externally reinforced water tank, which does not have any latticed tie bars inside the tank. In this study two different systems have been developed using the external steel frames with either the SMC water tank panels or the PosMAC(coated steel) water tank panels. The experimental tests have been performed under the static hydraulic loadings as well as the seismic loadings through the shaking table test.

To verify the displacement estimation method which is based on the relation between displacement and strain, static and dynamic field test are performed on the real bridge structures. Static and dynamic displacements estimated by using strain signal are well agreed with measured one by LVDT. This study demonstrates that the displacement estimation method using strain signal can be effectively applied to the displacement measurement of bridge structures, which are crossing the river/road/railway or have high clearance.

Recently, the importance about safety diagnostics of structures has been increasing in proportion to construction accidents due to deterioration. In this study, with comparing and analyzing the status of safety diagnosis of domestic and overseas concrete structure, the purpose is to point out the problems of domestic concrete structure’s safety diagnostics using the nondestructive and propose the needs for improvement.

The purpose of this study is an GPR image processing program (GPRiPP) development. And the developed GPRiPP has many image processing functions such as background removal, stacking and Gain function. With the GPR detection results of such as test bed, GPRiPP will be tested and modified in the near future.

The purpose of this study is to present a suitable maintenance guide or plan for future small scale vulnerable facilities by analyzing the investigation data collected through the safety inspection. For this, we examined about 3,301 buildings. From a number of defects, damages associated with the safety and durability of building were preferentially analyzed.

In this study, ultrasonic detection device was applied to investigate connection part of concrete structure. Result of test, the internal void of connection part can be detected and it was possible to adopt the ultrasonic detection method to the maintenance of concrete structure.

In this study, an Wireless Data Transmission Module for Large Spatial Structures has been investigated. An Wireless Data Transmission Mobule was designed with a Zigbee-based wireless communication function and a low-power, a variety of external interface. This was designed using RadioPulse Inc's MG2470-chip with a Zigbee-based wireless communication function, and Power Circuit was designed using Battery. The MG2470-chip is a true 2.4GHz system-on-chip (SoC) designed for low-power, low-cost applications based on the industry standards such as IEEE802.15.4 and RF4CE. The MG2470 involves 8-bit 8051 MCU with internal 64-KB flash memory and 6-KB SRAM. Accordingly, it is possible to development of an optimal firmware.

In this study, the strain based lateral deformation estimation method for steel moment frames is presented. This method estimates the distribution of flexural moments by using strain data assumed which measured in the columns. If we know the distribution of flexural moments in the columns, we can estimate the lateral deformation of columns by using the slope-deflection method. The steel moment frame with the beam-hinge mechanism is used as an example structure. Zero-length rotational springs are considered to model joints.
