        Zombie films are unique to the Hong Kong film industry, and have basically never appeared in other film markets. Hong Kong zombie movies started in the 1930s, and its development has gone through three periods: the formation period, the vigorous development period, and the decline period. During the vigorous development period, it achieved great success precisely because of its unique narrative image. This success is not only reflected in the box office, but also in the narrative of the film itself, especially the narrative image. Therefore, it is necessary to study the narrative images of Hong Kong zombie films in the development period and explore their unique artistic image charm. The narrative images of zombies in Hong Kong mainly include narrative image elements, narrative image colors, and narrative image space-time backgrounds. Narrative image elements include zombie images incarnated by terror, Taoist images incarnated by justice, and magic tools to defeat “zombies”; the color of narrative images is mainly reflected in rendering the situation through contrasting colors and expressing the theme with color emotional elements; the space-time background of narrative images presents a unique cultural connotation. This article discusses and studies Hong Kong zombie movies through narrative images, summarizes the general rules, and provides a certain theoretical basis and support for the future development of zombie movies.
