        The characteristics of PM10 generation by subway operation such as acceleration, constant velocity, deceleration or stoppage were measured in real time to study its causes. For measurement positions, the lower center point on the front side of the Tc1-car was selected to observe the re- suspension caused by train draft, and behind the M2-car wheel and the T1-car wheel were selected observe the abrasion loss from friction generation during cabin operation. The measurement results showed that the PM10 generation is increased by train draft was 5.6% in the constant velocity section and 1.45% in the acceleration/deceleration sections. The increase by adhesiveness for cabin acceleration/deceleration was 9.6%, while the increase caused by friction from motor operation and steering was 5.1%. On the other hand, the amount of PM10 flowing into the station when a cabin was stopped at a station was 136% of normal condition and this might be the key reason of PM10 pollution in a subway tunnels since most pollution is accumulated there.

        Recently, the manufacturers of life-jacket are very interested in the acquisition of USCG(US Coast Guard) approval because the acquisition of USCG approval has an important role in the purchasing decision of the buyer's. Be based on criterion of USCG, we studied how to predict the change of floating position of human model with life-jacket to verify the backside restore.         The objective of this paper is to evaluate the equilibrium price between PSTN and VoIP telephony services in the case of non-linear utility function. Currently there are two types of wired phone service we are known that PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). The PSTN telephony which provide high quality service and VoIP which provide relatively low quality service forms a vertically differentiated oligopoly. Therefore, the evaluation of the equilibrium price between PSTN and VoIP services is very important to wired phone service providers. The equilibrium price depends on the state of the service cost function has been proved different value. This paper was evaluated each equilibrium price for the state of the linear cost function and non-linear cost function. Subsequently, analyzed the demand of both services and the equilibrium profit which can maximize the profit of both service providers.

        Recently a modern style sailing boat suitable for Korean sea was designed through full three dimensional design skill by the authors. In this paper, based on this three dimensional hull and deck design, a production process of 31ft class cruiser sailing boat was developed. First of all, it was possible to make the digital mock-up for design boat. Through this mock-up and RP(rapid prototyping) modeling, an appropriate general arrangement of design boat was able to be determined at final. And also the female deck mould was able to be made by a 5-axis NC cutting machine. By doing this method, more higher efficiency and precision for sailing boat production could be achieved than before. Through this research the total process of design and construction for the designed boat was established.

        This paper represents a basic statistical examination on the navigability of ocean-going ship from the point of estimating the time lasting period when propeller racing occurred by using the basic probability theory and the statistics. The propeller racing is one of the most important seakeeping qualities in relation to the safety of the main engine and shafting system. The trend of the racing has been mainly investigated in order to estimate allowable maximum propeller diameter, operation of ocean-going ships, etc.. In those studies, the propeller racing generally and mainly means the situation (propeller exposed) in which the relative motion amplitude between ship hull and wave surface would exceed a depth of point in rotary disk propeller. Therefore, it seems that the magnitude of the amplitude and its exceeding frequency of propeller racing have been examined as a principal subject of study as usual. However, the time during which the amplitude exceeds the depth of point, that is, the propeller exposes in the air, must be also one of most important factor affecting the trend of propeller racing. Then, this paper proposes a new practical method for estimating the time lasting of exposed propeller related to propeller racing in rough-confused seas on the basis of the linear strip theory and the statistics. And, numerical examples of estimating the propeller racing probability are given for four wide ship forms. Finally the usefulness of the proposed method for predicting propeller racing based on the time lasting period is discussed.

        본 연구에서는 액상화-종방향 영구지반변형에 대한 지중매설관로의 거동특성을 해석하기 위하여 수치해석 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 기존의 연구결과가 간략한 해석식의 제안을 중심으로 진행되어 왔으며 영구지반변형의 형상과 폭에 따라 해석방법이 달라지는 단점을 가지고 있었던 것을 고려한다면, 개발된 수치해석 기법은 다양한 영구지반변형의 형상과 폭을 단일한 알고리즘 내에서 처리할 수 있다는 특징을 가지고 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 연속관 형태의 지중매설관로와 주변지반을 보요소와 등가지반강성으로 표현되는 탄-소성 지반 스프링을 이용하여 모형화하였으며, 지진발생시 실측된 지반변형에 기초하여 영구지반변형의 형상을 5가지의 대표적인 형태로 이상화하여 고려하였다. 국내 계기지진피해사례의 부족으로 인하여 영구지반변형의 크기와 지반변형의 폭은 기존의 연구결과를 참조하여 설정하였으며, 국내에서 사용되는 일반적인 강관을 대상으로 지반변형의 형상과 크기 및 폭, 매설관로의 관경, 관두께 등을 변화시켜 가면서 다양한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석 결과, 종방향 영구지반변형에 대한 매설관로의 거동에 미치는 주요 인자들의 영향정도를 평가할 수 있었다.
