To control the flow of fluid, several kinds of valves are used. Especially, Main Control Valve (MCV) is the key element of hydraulic system which performs complex control not only controlling the flow of fluid, but also prevent damage of equipment by supplying proper hydraulic pressure to actuator and draining over-supplied hydraulic pressure. While general control valves are producing in domestically, entire quantity of main control valves are depended on importation and it depreciates competitiveness in cost, and time. In this study, to derive the best design of notch structure by following the orifice flow of 6-linked main control valve and the relation between “notch structure” which is the most fundamental element to control the velocity of the fluid and “pressure distribution”, the flow characteristic is compared by comprehending hydraulic pressure and velocity of the fluid using CFD simulation when spool valve is used for “meter-in” and “meter-out” through the opening of the notch structure.

A deformation of tire structure cause characteristic change of tire as stiffness, ground surface shape, vibration and noise. As a result it will affect "riding quality" factors such as noise and vibration. In this study, figured it out the difference of tire pass by-noise according to ground pressure and stiffness change, to investigate the influence of tire characteristic for tire pass-by-noise. Therefore, The tire ground stiffness and tire pass-by-noise was measured according to pass-by-noise test method(ECE R117). Conclusively, “The tire pass by noise” was confirmed that between vibration and tread shoulder are a close relationship. As the tire shoulder vibration is low, “The acceleration pass-by-noise” can be seen that displayed lower value. In order to distribute contact pressure low for reduce the acceleration pass-by-noise, it could be confirmed that the shoulder stiffness should be greater.

Sb-doped SnO2(ATO) thin films were prepared using electrospinning. To investigate the optimum properties of the electrospun ATO thin films, the deposition numbers of the ATO nanofibers(NFs) were controlled to levels of 1, 2, 4, and 6. Together with the different levels of deposition number, the structural, chemical, morphological, electrical, and optical properties of the nanofibers were investigated. As the deposition number of the ATO NFs increased, the thickness of the ATO thin films increased and the film surfaces were gradually densified, which affected the electrical properties of the ATO thin films. 6 levels of the ATO thin film exhibited superior electrical properties due to the improved carrier concentration and Hall mobility resulting from the increased thickness and surface densification. Also, the thickness of the samples had an effect on the optical properties of the ATO thin films. The ATO thin films with 6 deposited levels displayed the lowest transmittance and highest haze. Therefore, the figure of merit(FOM) considering the electrical and optical properties showed the best value for ATO thin films with 4 deposited levels.

Fluorine-doped SnO2 (FTO) thin film/Ag nanowire (NW) double layers were fabricated by means of spin coating and ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. To investigate the optimum thickness of the FTO thin films when used as protection layer for Ag NWs, the deposition time of the ultrasonic spray pyrolysis process was varied at 0, 1, 3, 5, or 10 min. The structural, chemical, morphological, electrical, and optical properties of the double layers were examined using X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, the Hall effect measurement system, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Although pure Ag NWs formed isolated droplet-shaped Ag particles at an annealing temperature of 300 oC, Ag NWs covered by FTO thin films maintained their high-aspect-ratio morphology. As the deposition time of the FTO thin films increased, the electrical and optical properties of the double layers degraded gradually. Therefore, the double layer fabricated with FTO thin films deposited for 1 min exhibited superb sheet resistance (~14.9Ω/□), high optical transmittance (~88.6 %), the best FOM (~19.9 × 10−3 Ω−1), and excellent thermal stability at an annealing temperature of 300 oC owing to the good morphology maintenance of the Ag NWs covered by FTO thin films.

Among many potential problems associated with automobiles, the problem regarded as most sensitive and important to the customers is the automobile’s quietness. In particular, because the trend toward the high-performance automobiles is increasing, the quietness should be considered reflecting the increasing demand of the customers for the comfort of automobile ride. Road noise is the low-frequency range in the region of 20Hz to 350Hz, generated when the tires are making contacts with the rough road surface while the automobile is running, in which the noises are resonating within the passenger compartment or with the automobile suspension. In this research, among the factors related to the road noise, the influencing factors associated with the suspension and the tire design were investigated. In particular, among the tire design factors, the structure and the rubber material were investigated as the influencing factors, and for the investigative purpose, experimental tires were manufactured and road noise evaluations were conducted thorough actual feeling tests. Then the test results and correlations were analyzed using the 6-Sigma statistical method. Results from this study shows that, among the tire design factors, the apex is the most influencing factor, in which the height of the apex is the key. The influential factors were found out to be apex height, belt angle, and tread hardness, in that order, and when the suspension is of a same kind, the tendency of the road noise was found to be similar.

The objective of this paper is to compare the site-to-site variability of ISO 10844 pass by the noise test sites. In order to investigate the site-to-site variance of test surfaces, European commercial tires are tested at seven different test sites. Three Korea test sites and four Europe test sites are selected. The pass by noise test is done according to a 2001/43/EC regulation. Although the ISO surface has a very specific track composition, it does not reduce the variation of pass by noise measurements over the surface of test sites. This paper shows that the test results of pass by noise level are different depending on the test sites. The correlation obtained in this work is able to predict the pass by noise level for certain test site using the data measured from another test site. The prediction value is range with an error within 1 dB(A).
