섬은 내륙지역에 비해 상대적으로 외부간섭이 적어 생태계가 잘 보존된 생물다양성이 높은 지역으로 알려져 있다. 하지만 우리나라의 섬 지역의 생물다양성 연구는 일부 지역 또는 한정된 분류군에 국한되어 연구한 경우가 대부분이다. 곤충은 생물다양성 연구에 필수적인 분류군으로 국내에서는 전체 생물종 58,050종의 약35%인 20,274종이 알려져 있다(환경부 2022). 우리나라 섬의 곤충은 6,117종이 알려져 있으며, 대부분 제주도, 거제도, 진도 등 크기가 큰 섬에서 조사 및 연구가 이루어져 있다(국립호남권생물자원관 2022). 국립호남권생물자원관 에서는 섬 곤충다양성 연구를 위해 종목록 구축, 곤충상조사, DNA바코드 연구 등을 수행하고 있으며, 나비목 곡식좀나방상과의 신종·미기록종 발굴 및 계통분류학적 연구를 추진하고 있다. 본 발표를 통해 2021년부터 현재 까지의 주요 연구 추진방향 및 연구결과를 소개하고자 한다.

본 연구를 통해 국내 미기록속인 Tineola Herrich-Schäffer속의 Tieola bisselliella (Hummel, 1823)을 최초로 확인하였다. 해당 종은 모피, 양모, 깃털, 가죽 등 일상용품을 가해할 뿐만 아니라 미술, 역사, 또는 과학적으로 중요한 물품들을 가해하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 한국산 T. bisselliella의 성충 및 암수 생식기를 기재하고 도판을 제공하였다.

Ippa conspersa (Matsumura, 1931)를 포함한 Ippa Walker, 1864 속의 한국 분포를 최초로 확인하였다. I. conspera의 유충은 Lasius (Lasius) spp. 와 같은 몇몇 개미류를 포식하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이번 연구를 통하여 한국산 I. conspera의 성충 및 암수 생식기, 유충의 외부 형태를 기재하 고 도판을 제시하였다.

본 연구를 통해 국내미기록속인 까마귀나비속의 푸른줄까마귀왕나비를 최초로 보고한다. 푸른줄까마귀왕나비의 암컷 형태와 생식기, 채집 지 등의 정보를 제공하였다. 또한 신속한 종 동정을 위한 DNA 바코드 염기서열을 정보를 제공하였다.

Family Tineidae, belongs to the superfamily Tineoidea, with about 2,500 described species belong to 450 genera, and 16 subfamilies all over the world (Robinson, 2009). Classification of this family studied by Zagulyaev (1972), Robinson (1988), Davis & Robinson (1998), Nieukerken et al. (2011), and Regier et al. (2015), etc. The family was reported 33 species belonging to 19 genera of eight subfamilies in Korea up to date (Paek et al., 2010; Park et al., 2012; Byun et al., 2014; Lee et al., 2016; 2017a; 2017b; 2018). In this study, a total of 42 species belonging to 22 genera of nine subfamilies are recognized in Korea. Among them seven species are reported from Korea for the first time, and two species are described new to science.

Xyrosaris Meyrick, 1907 is a small genus of the family Yponomeutidae, established by Meyrick (1907) for its type species Xyrosaris dyropa Meyrick, 1907. A total of nine species were recognized in the world. Most of species of the genus have been described by Meyrick at the early 20th century. Up to date, X. lichneuta Meyrick, 1918 has been reported from Korea. In the present study, we review the genus Xyrosaris from Korea, with two new species: X. sp.1 and X. sp.2. Key to species, illustrations of adult, male and female genitalia, diagnosis and short description are provided.
