The genus Phyllonorycter is one of the large group, in the family Gracillariidae, comprising 401 described species in the world. In this study, a total of 21 species of the genus Phyllonorycter is recognized. Among them, six newly recorded species were reported for the first time from Korea. All available materials were examined for adult and genitalic characters with known information, including the collecting localities, illustrations of adults and genitalia.

The genus Cosmopterix Hübner is belongs to the subfamily Cosmopteriginae, comprising 11 described species in Korea (Park, 1986; Park, 1994; Sinev and Park, 1994). This genus is major group of the family Cosmopterigidae, with a specific character having the orange postmedian band and silvery-metallic fascia on the forewing. In this study, two species, Cosmopterx argentitegulella Sinev and C. setariella Sinev, are reported for the first time from Korea. Adult and genitalic structure are examined and illustrated. This study was carried out to clarify the taxonomic status position between two species, Archips audax and A. asiaticus of the family Tortricidae, which have been confused due in their very similar character in appearance. For the reason, A. asiaticus has been treated as junior of A. audax in Korea until now (Park and Byun, 1989). Also, it has been known as synonym of A. audax too in Japan (Suzuki and Komai, 1984). However, in China A. asiaticus has been listed as a valid species (Park et al,. 2014). The aim of this study is to clarify the taxonomic differences between the two species with DNA barcoding. We conducted the tree with the result of DNA barcoding by using MAGA 6. A. audax and A. asiaticus build in different clade and distance was 0.02. In this study, we extracted COI gene for DNA barcode and analyzed the sequences using MEGA 6. Also, genitalic dissection and observation of morphology were conducted. As the result, we have to treated A. asiaticus is valid species.

The family Cosmopterigidae belongs to superfamily Gelechioidea, comprising 1,792 species of 135 genera worldwide (Sinev, 2002). In Korea, Park (1983) listed 9 species of 5 genera. Later, Park (1994) recorded 9 species of 5 genera of the family. Sinev and Park (1994) reported 4 species of 2 genera. And Ponomarenko and Park (1997) reported a newly recorded genus with one new species. In total, 23 species of 7 genera under 3 subfamilies are recorded in Korea. In the present study, one species of genus Pyroderces including a newly recorded species Pyroderces sarcogypsa is reported for the first time from Korea. Adult and genitalia of the species are examined and illustrated.
