Pseudisobrachium is one of the biggest genera with 190 species from the world including one extinct species from France. In Korea, only one species, P. koreana Lim, has been recorded. The ecological information of Pseudisobrachium is poorly studied, however, it was recorded that Pseudisobrachium species are found associated with various ants in several previous studies. As results of taxonomy studies on the Korean bethylids, a new species of Pseudisobrachium is discovered based on one female specimen which was collected from Cheongsong county (Gyeongbuk province) by Malaise trap in 2008. This is the first record of female of the genus in Korea. A taxonomic discussion on the genus Pseudisobrachium, diagnosis and diagnostic characteristics of the new species are provided.

Epyris Westwood, 1832 is the largest genus of Bethylidae with more than 300 nominal species and 19 species of Epyris have been recorded in Korea. The Epyris species are small to medium sized (2–10 mm) wasps with the palpal formula 6:3; the median lateral clypeal lobe reduced; pronotum usually longer than wide; notauli and parapsidal furrows present; scutellar pits not connected by a groove; basal vein of the fore wing arising almost at apex of subcostal vein. As results of taxonomic studies on Korean bethylids, Epyris emiae Terayama, a brachypterous species, is first discovered from South Korea. In this presentation, a diagnosis, figures of diagnostic characteristics of E. emiae are provided with a discussion on forewing veins of Korean bethylid genera.

Generally, Cerambycidae inhabites in tropical and subtropical zones, and they are large family among Coleoptera and distributed over 20,000 species worldwide. They typically characterized by extremely long antennae, which are often as long as or longer than the beetle's body. Order Cerambycidae are divided into 11 subfamilies in the world, among them, there are 304 species of the 159 genera in 7 subfamilies from Korea up to date. The genus Anoplophora is belonging to the tribe Agniini in the subfamily Lamiinae. Most species of Anoplophora are showed their beautiful colors on the elytra, pronotum, antennae and ventral parts etc. These colors superficially seems like mere patterns of the integument. Usually, colored pubescent patches of the elytra in Anoplophora are arranged in round spots, in others they are arranged in transverse bands. And also, the species of this genus have very long antennae (about 1.3-1.6 times the body length in males, 1.0-1.5 times the body length in females of most species) then others and mostly body size are large, some species is over 50mm. In this paper Anoplophora freyi is newly recorded in Korea. Consequently, a total of three species of the genus Anoplophora are recorded in Korea.

Prorops Waterston is a small genus of the family Bethylidae (Hymenoptera) with just four species known worldwide: P. nasuta Waterston (cosmopolitan), P. petila Evans (Nearctic, Neotropical); P. obsoleta Evans (Neotropical); P. rakan Terayama (Palaearctic). A new species is recognized from the tropic rain forest of Cambodia. It is characterized from congeneric species by ‘the elongated median process on the lower part of frons and the flat-broad mandible downwardly developed’. The new species is described and illustrated with a key to world species of the genus Prorops.

Up to days, 5 species belonging to the genus Clytus, one of the large genera among the tribe Clytini have been recorded from Korean peninsula. The genus Clytus can be distinguished from the other genera by combination of following characteristics: width of head between each antennal socket longer than length of scape; carinae on frons absent; 1st segment of hind-tarsus 2 times shorter than combined length of 2nd+3rd segments; hind-femora weekly swelled in middle part; posterior part of metasternum without process in ventral view. Clytus sp. nov. is most similar to C. clavicornis Reiche, an endemic species to Sicily island in Southern Italy, having thickened 5th or 6th to apical antennal segment. However, this species can be distinguished from the latter species by specific morphological characteristics. As a result of this study, we report Clytus sp. nov. as new to science with brief description and illustrations diagnostic characteristics with key to the Korean Clytus species.

Three species, Allobethylus tomoae Terayama, Cephalonomia tarsalis (Ashmead), and Laelius yamatonis Terayama of the subfamily Epyrinae are recorded for the first time in Korea. Both sexes of A. tomoae Terayama, C. tarsalis (Ashmead) and female of L. yamatonis Terayama are briefly described with diagnostic morphological illustrations for each species based on the Korean specimens. Male of the genus Allobethylus is discovered for the first time from the word.
