We synthesized YOF(yttirum oxyfluoride) powders through solid state reactions using Y2O3 and YF3 as raw materials. The synthesis of crystalline YOF was started at 300 oC and completed at 500 oC. The atmosphere during synthesis had a negligible effect on the synthesis of the YOF powder under the investigated temperature range. The particle size distribution of the YOF was nearly identical to that of the mixed Y2O3 and YF3 powders. When the synthesized YOF powders were used as a raw material for the suspension plasma spray(SPS) coating, the crystalline phases of the coated layer consisted of YOF and Y2O3, indicating that oxidation or evaporation of YOF powders occurred during the coating process. Based on thermogravimetric analysis, the crystalline formation appeared to be affected by the evaporation of fluoride because of the high vapor pressure of the YOF material.
ZnS powder was synthesized using a relatively facile and convenient glycothermal method at various reaction temperatures. ZnS was successfully synthesized at temperatures as low as 125 oC using zinc acetate and thiourea as raw materials, and diethylene glycol as the solvent. No mineralizers or precipitation processes were used in the fabrication, which suggests that the spherical ZnS powders were directly prepared in the glycothermal method. The phase composition, morphology, and optical properties of the prepared ZnS powders were characterized using XRD, FE-SEM, and UV-vis measurements. The prepared ZnS powders had a zinc blende structure and showed average primary particles with diameters of approximately 20~30 nm, calculated from the XRD peak width. All of the powders consisted of aggregated secondary powders with spherical morphology and a size of approximately 0.1~0.5 μm; these powders contained many small primary nanopowders. The as-prepared ZnS exhibited strong photo absorption in the UV region, and a red-shift in the optical absorption spectra due to the improvement in powder size and crystallinity with increasing reaction temperature. The effects of the reaction temperature on the photocatalytic properties of the ZnS powders were investigated. The photocatalytic properties of the assynthesized ZnS powders were evaluated according to the removal degree of methyl orange (MO) under UV irradiation (λ = 365 nm). It was found that the ZnS powder prepared at above 175 oC exhibited the highest photocatalytic degradation, with nearly 95 % of MO decomposed through the mediation of photo-generated hydroxyl radicals after irradiation for 60 min. These results suggest that the ZnS powders could potentially be applicable as photocatalysts for the efficient degradation of organic pollutants.
Fibrolipoma, a variant of lipoma, is rare in oral cavity, and the pathogenesis is uncertain. The diagnosis and differentiation of fibrolipoma with other clinically similar lesions is very essential for proper treatment planning. We present a case of fibrolipoma on palate of a 28-year-old male.
We report a rare case of intraosseous epidermoid cyst in mandibular body. A non symptomatic patient without trauma history had a cystic lesion on mandible close to the third molar. The lesion was enucleated while extracting of left lower third molar. The microscopic findings were consistent with an epidermoid cyst. Key words:Epidermoid Cyst, Intraosseous, Mandible
This study was conducted to analyze the current situation of the logging operation system and to suggest an effective policy plan to secure important raw materials for the use of forest biomass. The dissemination of forestry mechanization and the establishment of the logging operation are important tasks to establish a system and reduce costs of timber production by increasing the use of forest biomass; this includes increasing the supply of timber for domestic products and increasing the production of wood chips and wood pellets. In particular, the efficiency of steep-slopes catenary system machinery for yarding such as tower-yarder and swing-yarder should be urgently supplied to cope with forest production and supply of forest biomass energy resources. In addition, it is necessary to continuously promote the dissemination of high-performance forestry machinery as is being done in Japan. At the same time, instead of distributing or retaining the spread of forestry machinery to the state and local governments, it is necessary to distribute timber production work centered on forest cooperatives or private timber producers to be carried out by wood producers, forest cooperatives and individuals.
This study is conducted to get current state of data collection and utilization of the trees damaged by pine wilt disease, and to efficiently collect and utilize of the trees damaged by the pine wilt disease and abandoned fumigation-treated trees at forecasts. The method to control pine wilt disease damaged area is mostly fumigation treatment system, and there is no collection and utilization of damaged trees because of absence of efficient collection system, lack of collection cost, and absence of policy, etc. A survey is conducted that asked about the satisfaction degree for the trees damaged by pine wilt disease collection and use divided into 6 topics. It was positively recognized that the need and problem of the trees damaged by pine wilt disease, and results and satisfaction of forestry mechanization while it was mostly negatively recognized that the policy satisfaction for prevention and collection, satisfaction of collection and use, collection and forestry mechanization, and satisfaction of foundation equipment for forestry mechanization, etc. As a result of path analysis, it is necessary to promote a high-tech forestry mechanization to improve satisfaction level of results and satisfaction of forestry mechanization for the trees damaged by pine wilt disease collection and utilization, it is also need to make an effort in various ways for improve satisfaction level of satisfaction of collection and utilization.
The purpose of this research was develop tailored landslide hazard assessment table (LHAT) in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and propose building strategies on environmental information system to estimate landslide hazard area according to LHAT. To accomplish this purpose, this research investigated factors occurring landslide at 172 landslide occurred sites in 23 city and county of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and analyzed what factors effected landslide occurrence quantity using the multiple statistics of quantification method(Ⅰ). The results of analysis, factors affecting landslide occurrence quantity were shown in order of slope position, slope length, bedrock, aspect, forest age, slope form and slope. And results of the development of LHAT for predict mapping of landslide-susceptible area in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, total score range was divided that 107 under is stable area(Ⅳ class), 107~176 is area with little susceptibility to landslide(Ⅲ class), 177~246 is area with moderate susceptibility to landslide(Ⅱ class), above 247 area with severe susceptibility to landslide(Ⅰ class). According to LHAT, this research built landslide attribute database and made 7 digital theme maps at mountainous area located in Goryeong Gun, Seongju-Gun, and Kimcheon-City. The results of prediction on degree of landslide hazard using environmental information system, area with little susceptibility to landslide(Ⅲ class) occupied 65.56% and severe susceptibility to landslide(Ⅰ class) occupied 0.51%.
