The purpose of this study was to develop a lifestyle scale for one-person hair salon users and to identify differences in store choice factors and hairstyle pursuit behaviors according to lifestyle types. Data was collected by survey, with 225 responses being included in the analysis. Data analysis was performed using cross-analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach’s α, cluster analysis, ANOVA and the Duncan-test using SPSS 23.0 analysis software. The results of the study were as follows. First, one-person hair salon users were classified according to the following lifestyle groups: The rational appearance management group, the passive appearance management group, and the discriminative appearance management group. Second, store choice factors according to lifestyle group showed significant group-specific differences in relation to store atmosphere, accessibility, and promotion. Conversely, comfort of space in store and word-of-mouth recommendation message were high for all three groups, indicating that these are important factors in relation to store selection. Third, with regard to hairstyle pursuit behaviors according to lifestyle, the discriminative appearance management group showed the same characteristics as high involvement groups that regard all dimensions of hairstyle pursuit behavior as important. The results of this study can be used to suggest efficient operations for one-person hair salons and to suggest differentiated marketing strategies to increase the demand of one-person hair salon users.

Effects of the amount of nickel powder (Ni) in Ni-carbon fiber (CF) hybrid filler systems on the conductivity(or resistivity) and thermal coefficient of resistance (TCR) of filled high density polyethylene were studied. Increases of the resistivity and TCR with increasing Ni concentration at a given hybrid filler content were observed. Using the fiber contact model, we showed that the main role of Ni in the hybrid filler system is to decrease the interfiber contact resistance when Ni concentration is less than the threshold point. The formation of structural defects leading to reduced reinforcing effect resulted in both a reduction of strength and an increase of the coefficient of thermal expansion in the composite film; these changes are responsible for the increases of both resistivity and TCR with increasing Ni concentration in the hybrid filler system.

In order to improve rice dough functionality, we cloned 4 kinds of high-molecular-weight glutenin subunit (HMW-GS) genes from bread wheat, ‘Jokyeong’. Among them, we first examined Dx5 gene to generate marker-free transgenic rice for advanced quality processing of bread and noodles. The GluB1 promoter was inserted into binary vector for seed specific expression of the Dx5 gene. Two expression cassettes comprised of separate DNA fragments containing only the high-molecular-weight glutein subunit (HMW-GS) protein (Dx5) and hygromycin phosphotransferase II (HPTII) resistance genes were introduced separately to tumefaciens EHA105 strain for co-infection. Each EHA105 strain harboring Dx5 or HPTII was infected to rice calli at 3: 1 ratio of Dx5 and HPTII, respectively. Then among 66 hygromycin-resistant transformants, we obtained two transgenic lines inserted both with Dx5 and HPTII gene to rice genome. We reconfirmed integration of the Dx5 and HPTII genes into the rice genome by Southern blot analysis. Wheat Dx5 transcriptsin rice seeds was examined with semi-quantitative RT-PCR. Finally, the marker-free plants containing only Dx5 gene were successfully screened at T1 generation. This result also provides that co-infection system with two expression cassettes could be efficient strategy to generate marker-free transgenic rice plants.
