기존 시멘트에 비해 우수한 인장변형성능을 가지는 고인성 시멘트 복합체(HPFRCC)를 보수, 보강에 적용 시키려는 연구가 최근 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 HPFRCC의 일종인 ECC와 초속경 숏크리트인 MDF의 보강성능을 알아보고자 한다. 실험체는 실존하는 철근콘크리트 구조물의 전단벽을 1/2 축소하여 제작하였으며 개구부를 가지고 있다. 실험결과 WB-MDF, ECC는 WB-0.23에 비해 각각 28.4%, 48.4%의 강도증가를 보였으며, 특히 WB-ECC가 WB-MDF에 비해 연성면에서 우수하게 나타났다.

건축물의 증가와 자원의 효율적인 활용의 목적으로 기존 건축물에 대한 리모델링이 주목을 받고 있다. 리모델링 공사로 인해 세대간 병합을 위해 기존 벽에 개구부를 설치하는 경우 개구부의 영향을 파악 하는 것을 목적으로 철근콘크리트 전단벽의 정적가력 실험을 실시했다. 그 결과 개구부 유무에 따른 파괴현상은 벽판에 형성된 압축지주의 단면적이 감소함으로써 다르게 나타났다. 특히 최대 내력은 개구부 설치에 따라 약 35%정도 감소되는 특성을 보였다. 이러한 경향은 강성 및 에너지 소산능력에서도 유사하게 나타났다.

To investigate the influence of the mesophyll cells on stomatal opening in response to white light, the segments of isolated epidermis were transferred on partly exposed mesophyll cells of a leaf and stomatal apertures were measured. Transferring the isolated epidermis on partly exposed mesophyll cells of a leaf caused a marked increase on stomatal apertures while stomata in isolated epidermis incubated in MES buffer hardly opened. Mesophyll infiltration with photosynthetic inhibitors (DCMU, DCCD, NaN3) was performed to elucidate the correlation between stomatal apertures and the degree of photosynthetic activity. It was found that transferring the isolated epidermis on partly exposed mesophyll cells of a leaf caused an increase of stomatal apertures depending on the degree of photosynthetic activities. In NaN3 infiltrated leaf discs, transferring the fresh isolated epidermis on partly exposed mesophyll cells of a leaf showed no significant effect, but a slight increase on stomatal apertures. Isolated epidermis alone did not respond to the light properly, but if it was closely contacted with mesophyll cells, the stomata regained the ability of the light response. Therefore, it could be suggested that stomatal apertures were related with the degree of photosynthetic activity in the mesophyll cells.

This article explores the coexistence and interaction with the Other in T. S. Eliot looking in particular at different cultures’ relationship. This study escapes the usual label that Eliot tends toward one-sided emphasis on a rapprochement with England, Europe, and their traditions. Eliot begins with the epistemological argument that we can’t find anything original or ultimate. He accepts “finite centres” or “points of view” instead of the “self” and defines the unified self as an “ideal construction.” “A point of view” is conscious of the fragmentary world and identfies it with whole universe. Eliot holds that “a point of view” depends upon and interacts with other points of view and interprets experiences. In the relation of cultural community to each other, Eliot asserts that each community is based on its own tradition. Tradition can exist only through its application to particular situations by its participants who appropriate and implement the tradition, according to their particular situational interests and needs. It embodies and maintains the common meaning and “identical reference” of various finite centres. Since tradition is the cooperative consensus of various viewpoints, it follows that each cultural community is conscious of a point of view, which negates the wholly cognized and calls for taking cognizance mutually. Each community never achieves a purely unprejudiced God's eye-view which is alleged the only true understanding. Eliot focuses on the condition where a community resists assimilation into other communities and embodies incommensurable difference in diverse communities. He believes that a greater uniformity of culture seems likely to result from the pressure of one civilization, which brings about a lower grade of culture altogether. Cultural communities, while remaining distinct, should be able to mix freely. Eliot advocates each community has its own distinguishable tradition, which should also harmonise with, and enrich, the cultures of the others. He shows the desire to escape the limitations of a point of view and extend the reference through interaction with the Other.

In Pusan Harbour, new port development projects are implemented such as the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal, Pusan New Port, the Navy ○○ piers, etc. which will require new marine traffic environments in the Passage I of Pusan Harbour. Specially, the turning basin of the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal has been designed to overlay the Passage I of Pusan Harbour, which will interrupt the inbound traffic flow and the results will be worried to decrease the efficiency of port operation. Therefore, this paper will be aimed to evaluate the traffic congestion in the Pusan Passage I due to the opening of new ports within Pusan Harbour in 2006 and 2011 by using computer simulation based the queueing theory.

In the meantime Korean Insurance Industry has been developed a steady growth under government's political protection. But insurance market seems to be opened unavoidably owing to the liberalization of international trade by the Agreements of UR and the bloc of economy by EC Integration and the Organization of NAFTA. By the above reason, especially, in case of hull insurance, the rate of hull insurance is being instituted as a problem. Accordingly the recognition for the problem like this, in thsi study, explained the major objectives of rate making and described the basic rate making methods that are used in property and liability insurance, and searched the rate making schemes of hull insurance rate of the major nations by comparing method. And as a conclusion, the writer presented several schemes including new rate making scheme of hull insurance rate and the security of statistical data about loss ratio, and the establishment of Korean Hull Insurance Association.

Bareboat Charter Register is not intended to miselead third party states or persons dealing with the ship in respect of its nationality. Bareboat Charter Register gives a shipwner a more flexible and attractive package, for example mortga-ging facilities might be more attractive in one state because of its stronger laws relating to recovery of liens, whereas the manning requirements might be attractive in another state. By using Bareboat Charter Register, a shipwner/manager can avail himself of both advantage instead of settling for a compro-mise. Ships on a Bareboat charter Register would be subject to the safety, manning and anti-pollution require-ments of the second flag state and would carry that state's right to fly a flag of the original state be withd-rawn and the effect is to suspend the registration during the period of demise charter except in so far as relates to Title transactions.
