        The learning subjects of primary and secondary levels of educational astronomy appears in cyclic developmental phases throughout education levels. To improve their learnings effectively, it is important to study the correlations of conceptional connection between previous and succeeding learnings, In this study, we select the astronomical unit subjects from the primary and secondary levels of science text books, analysing the conceptional connections between each unit subject and the unit subject of it's previous learning. We finally find that the conceptional connections of each unit are generally well made. Several units, however, have neither connections nor previous learnings which are reexamined, Therefore, we discuss the fitness of intellectual levels of students and the motives of interests to compensate the incomplete conceptional connections.

        We present for the first time the characteristics of upper atmospheric horizontal winds over the Korean Peninsula. Winds and their variability are derived using four-year measurements by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) meteor radar. A general characteristic of zonal and meridional winds is that they exhibit distinct diurnal and seasonal variations. Their changes indicate sometimes similar or sometimes different periodicities. Both winds are characterized by either semi-diurnal tides (12 hour period) and/or diurnal tides (24 hour period) from 80–100 km. In terms of annual change, the annual variation is the strongest component in both winds, but semi-annual and ter-annual variations are only detected in zonal winds.

        This paper presents at the characteristics of publications in the Journal of Astronomy and Space Sciences from 1984 to 2018. Since its first publication, a total of 1,113 papers (~35 volumes) have been published up to December 2018. While the space astronomy field has made up a large portion of the total number of papers, the number of annually published papers in this field is decreasing. In contrast, the number of papers in the space environment field has been showing an increasing trend since 2013, accounting for more than 30% of the annual publications. The participation rate of foreign researchers has been maintained at greater than 20% since 2012. Despite the decrease in the number of paper per year, there are positive developments including sustained foreign researcher participation at greater than 20% and improvements in the impact factor. We believe that JASS has the potential to enter the distinguished level of international academic journals following a welldeveloped future road map.

        전파천문학에 사용되는 전파망원경 및 수신기의 사용 주파수 대역은 가장 우수한 각 분해능을 제공하는 10.5GHz~10.7GHz이다. 위 기기들은 우주로부터 오는 미약한 신호를 수신해야 하므로 고성능 대역통과 필터의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 전파천문학 기기용 대역통과 필터를 개발하였다. 사용 주파수대역이 10.5GHz~10.7GHz의 초극초단파 대역이므로 양호한 통과 특성과 대역 외에서의 불필요한 산호에 대한 억압 특성을 얻기 위해 마이크로스트립 선로를 이용하여 필터를 설계하였다. 설계된 대역통과 필터의 중심 주파수는 10.6 GHz로 하였으며, 통과 대역이 중심주파수의 5%인 대역통과 필터이다. ADS Tool을 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과를 토대로 제작한 대역통과 필터는 시뮬레이션으로 설계한 특성과 거의 일치하였기 때문에 제작된 대역통과 필터는 전파천문학 기기용 대역통과 필터로서 적합하다고 판단된다.
