        유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경은 새로운 기술로 구현된 환경으로 그에 적합한 새로운 사용성 평가가 필요하다. 그러나 기존의 사용성 평가를 그대로 도입할 수 없으므로 이에 대한 연구가 수반되어야 하고 심리적인 변인도 함께 고려되어야 할 것이다. 이를 위해서는 기기적 측면의 사용성 평가만이 아니라 서비스 시나리오도 함께 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 시나리오적 측면에서 사용성 요인을 분류하고 기기적 측면에서 심리적인 요인인 통제감을 중심으로 진행되었다. 연구 1에서 현존하는 사용성 요인을 유사성과 어플리케이션 시나리오에 따라 중 요성을 재분류 한 결과 10개의 그룹이 생성되었다. 연구 2에서는 구체적으로 유비쿼터스 환경에서 기기의 친밀감과 복잡성이 통제감의 환상을 유발시킬 수 있는지 실험해보았다. 그 결과, 기기의 친밀감과 복잡성이 통제감의 환상을 유발시키는 변인으로 밝혀졌다.

        The trend toward miniaturization and wireless communication offers the prospect of ubiquitous computing, that is computing available everywhere, all the time. As communication devices become more and more mobile, and as life styles adapt to this mobility, education must adapt also. A host of new and rapidly changing applications is emerging, wrapped around handheld information and communication technology (ICT) devices and the software and services on which they run. Users expect to always remain connected during their nomadic roaming, and this expectation is beginning to include students. Information technology managers are searching for ways to meet the mobile technology and ubiquitous computing demands of students while educators are seeking ways to exploit this new communication life style for positive pedagogical purposes The new mobile technologies seem well suited to support contemporary theories of learning that emphasize active engagement, collaboration, information-seeking, and reflection. All of these qualities can be achieved in mobile learning (“m-learning”) but only after overcoming significant constraints related to the technical and physical limitations of mobile technologies. Some design guidelines are offered to help educators cope with these limitations.

        As information technology has been developed rapidly, recognition on it's importance has been increased. At present, information technology is being applied in various fields, playing an important role in improving results of companies' product and economic activities. Therefore, it's the most important to propose appropriate information technology considering each industrial characteristic. As it were, it's meaningless to apply information technology merely without regarding unique characteristic of business model and industry sector. In this paper, the method of using ubiquitous computing for industry sector will be proposed.

        In ubiquitous computing environments, users want to receive the robot services regardless of various physical status or devices such as time, place, various sensors, and high-performance servers. Thus, the ubiquitous service robots have to provide users with automated services according to situational information that they properly recognize. Beyond these problems, robot software has to establish a foundation to support the functions with the network infrastructure that are not able to be solved by a single independent resource. On the basis of a robot middleware that is capable of minimizing dependencies among hierarchy structures, the robot software also has to provide execution environment to control the flow of robot application services. In this paper, we propose a layered architecture to provide users with automated services through ubiquitous robots. The proposed architecture is based on CAWL (Context-Aware Workflow Language) and RSEL (Robot Services Execution Language). CAWL easily represents the flow of robot services from user application service levels, and RSEL is able to support the composition and reusability of robot services through abstraction of robot device services. In our experiments, we applied the proposed architecture to an example of “booth guide robot service.”
