        Marine structures developed for marine industry and resource manifests different fluid characteristics. As such, the changes in the location, shape and size of these structures affect the fluid flow. Specifically, this wake flow caused by the structures result in environmental damage and topographical change. but on the other hand, protects harbor facility and environment. This study was conducted by changing the position of vertical plate in horizontal and vertical direction and experimented the variation of wake flow by PIV. This experiment confirmed the wake flow reduction by the changes of gab in horizontal and vertical direction. Particularly, the experiment showed that changes of gab in horizontal and vertical direction resulted in an increased u-velocity fields in the back of structure for larger horizontal gab.

        The vertical design spectrum for Korea, which is known to belong to an intra-plate region, is developed from the ground motion records of the earthquakes occurred in Korea and overseas intra-plate regions. From the statistical analysis of the vertical response spectra, a mean plus one standard deviation spectrum in lognormal distribution is obtained. Regression analysis is performed on this curve to determine the shape of spectrum including transition periods. The developed design spectrum is valid for the estimation both spectral acceleration and displacement. The ratio of vertical to horizontal response spectrum for each record is calculated. Statistical analysis of the ratios rendered the vertical to horizontal ratio (V/H ratio). Subsequently the ratio between the peak vertical ground acceleration to the horizontal one is obtained.

        이산화탄소 배출량 제한을 의무화하는 EEDI, SEEMP 등의 국제협약에 대응하기 위하여 선박의 에너지 절감장치(ESD, Energy Saving Device) 관련 국내기술 대응이 절실하다. 본 연구는 국내 중소형 조선소의 주력선종 효율 향상의 ESD를 설계하기 위하여 유동특성 분석에 대한 연구이다. 프로펠러 상단으로 유입되는 유동을 개선하기 위하여 bare hull의 선미벌브 및 빌지 주변의 유동특성을 수치해석과 모형시험을 통하여 정성적으로 분석하였으며, 선저압력 지점의 개선 및 프로펠러 상단 유입의 선미 빌지 유동 제어를 위하여 선미벌브와 빌지 사이에 수직평판을 부착하였다. 선미 선체표면 압력회복으로 전저항이 약 3.04 % 감소하였으며, 프로펠러 상단 유동 제어를 통해 평균 공칭반류가 약 18.8 % 감소하였다.

        In this study, the velocity distribution according to upper side coner shape of underwater construction with rectangular cylinder was measured with PIV method and the wake flow characteristics was considered. According to the coner shape, the flow pattern of wake flow was also differed greatly and the step-shaped coner of cut-off ratio B/H=0.06 was similar in the slope shape in result.

        Recently, as steel structures become higher and more long-spanned, application of high-strength steels is increasing gradually. However, criteria and example for design of high-strength steel are not built up. exiting criteria for structural steels is not proper for economical design of high-strength steel. Moreover, exiting criteria will be decrease the fatigue performance of steel bridge using high-strength steel. Therefore, criterion for application of high-strength steel must be established. In this paper, the behavior of plate girder using high-strength vertical stiffeners was clarified by carrying out layer elastic-plastic finite element analysis using finite deformation theory. In order to optimize the design and construction of plate girder using high-strength vertical stiffener, criterion for application of high-strength vertical stiffener is proposed.
