        In this paper, a tuned mass damper is applied to improve the seismic performance of the lighting tower. The light tower has a high slenderness ratio, low lateral stiffness and top mass is large structure so this has weak for vibration characteristics. The optimized damping coefficient and stiffness were applied to the four lighting tower models analyzed. As a result, the light tower with TMD showed a tendency to reduce the displacement response significantly against the earthquake.

        In this study, as a part of the BCP (Business Continuous Plan), the performance tests of the rocking wall and the steel damper were carried out. The rocking wall was made of concrete block. The concrete block was connected to the floor by two hinges. However, in the performance test, the hinge part was destroyed and the experiment was finished. This will be due to the fact that the hinge has not rotated, and will be retested after reinforcement of the concrete block.

        기존 골조구조물의 횡 변위 조절이 가능한 댐퍼 시스템을 개발하기 위한 목적으로 상세개발 및 성능실험을 실시하였다. 개발 상세는 기둥간 보의 변형을 방지하기 위하여 고안된 ALD및 층간변위를 제어하기 위하여 고안된 AWD로 구분되며, 기존 연구결과의 비보강 BF를 비교대상으로 사용하였다. 파괴양상, 하중-변위 곡선, 포락선, 최대강도, 강성저하 및 에너지 소산능력 등을 비교 평가하였으며, ALD 및 AWD 의 내진보강효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 아라미드 시트로 기둥을 구속하는 공법이 내진성능 향상에 매우 우수함을 확인하였다.

        This paper presents the seismic performance of the steel damper under reversed cyclic loading. The U-shaped steel damper used in this study was designed to have energy dissipation zone with an external diameter of 120 mm, a width of 15 mm, and a thickness of 15 mm. The cyclic loading test was carried out using an uniaxial universal testing machine with a capacity of 2,000 kN. The test results indicated that no strength deterioration of the specimen was found as well as the equivalent damping ratio of the specimen was excellent.

        In this study, the SMG fluid was developed for compensating the defect of the MR Fluid that is commonly used in Semi-active control system. And the damper with SMG fluid have been developed for practical application. The dynamic load test was conducted to evaluate the control performance of the SMG damper at 0.5Hz and 1Hz frequency conditions and 0A and 0.5A current conditions. As a result, the remarkable performance of the SMG damper was verified.

        Multi-objective optimization using response surface methodology-based surrogate model was employed to find optimal design parameter of TMD installed on structure under the El Centro earthquake. It is found that the RSM based weighted multi-objective optimized damper improves frequency responses and root mean square displacements of the structure without TMD by 31.6% and 82.3% under El Centro earthquake, respectively, and has an equal or higher performance than the conventionally designed dampers with respect to frequency responses and root mean square displacements and when applied to earthquakes.

        In this study, MR(Magneto-Rheological) Grease fluid was developed for compensating the settling phenomena of MR(Magneto-Rheological) fluid which is widely used in semi-active control system. In order to characterize the settling phenomena of the MRG fluid, the experimental comparison was conducted. The control performance assessment of the MRG fluid was also evaluated. As a result, it was verified that the MRG fluid have the sufficient performances to use as a material for semi-active control device.

        The failure of piping in nuclear power plants and various plant facilities is mainly caused by vibration due to fluid pressure, dead load, temperature expansion and earthquake load in the pipe. Repeated stresses due to vibration cause local fatigue failure on pipe joints where stress is concentrated, which is a factor that hinders the safety of the structure. Therefore, the vibration problem is solved by installing devices to solve the vibration problem in the pipe where vibration frequently occurs. In this study, we developed a damper that damps the dynamic load generated by piping using the friction pendulum principle, and analyzed the behavior curve of the MER-Spring specimen to be used.

        In this study, it was modelled high-rise building applying outrigger damper system and analyzed by applying eccentric load. By controlling the variation of damping and stiffness of the damper, the seismic response control performance of outrigger damper system was analysed. An outrigger damper system is effective in controlling the top floor displacement response and torsional angle. Therefore, the damper should be selected the proper stiffness value because the variation of stiffness have an influence on the torsional angle.

        이 논문에서는 원자력발전소나 각종 플랜트 시설물에서 배관을 보호하기 위하여 마찰방식을 이용한 댐퍼를 개발하여 성능을 분석 하는 연구를 수행하였다. 마찰방식댐퍼는 MER-Spring에 압축력을 가하여 베어링과 샤프트에 마찰력을 발생시켜 진동을 감쇠시키는 장치이 다. 댐퍼의 성능을 분석하기 위하여 MER-Spring과 마찰재의 재료특성을 분석하고, 마찰의 영향에 대한 연구를 수행하였으며, 이에 대한 거동 방정식을 수립하였다. 또한 재료의 변형 여부를 판단 및 수립된 거동방정식의 신뢰성 검토를 위하여 시작품을 제작하였고 시편으로 제작된 댐 퍼의 성능 시험과 유한요소 해석을 통하여 이를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 재료의 신뢰성이 확인되었고 마찰계수는 속도에 따른 보정이 필요하며, 반복재하 실험 및 유한요소해석 결과 우수한 결과를 나타냄을 확인하였다. 또한, 추후에 동적하중에 대한 검토가 수행되어 이 연구의 성과가 더 넓은 범위에 적용되었으면 한다.

        In this paper, to protect the piping in nuclear power plants and various plant facilities, we have developed a damper using the friction method and carried out a study to analyze the performance. Friction typed damper means a device for attenuating vibration by generating a frictional force to the bearing and the shaft by applying a compressive force to the MER-Spring. In order to analyze the performance of the damper, the properties of MER-Spring and friction materials were analyzed, a study on the effects of friction was carried out, and the behavior of this equation was established. And, to determine whether deformation of the material and to examine the reliability of the behavior of equation established, prototypes was produced and, through a performance test and finite element analysis of a damper made of specimens, they were analyzed.

        Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) and viscoelastic damper (VED) is a well-known vibration absorbing equipment in the civil engineering realm. Although the dampers are typically used separately, combined use of dampers worth investigation. For that purpose, a numerical model of multi-story building equipped with TMD and VED was developed using finite element software SAP2000. In this study, modal parameter based distribution of hybrid damper system (HDS) using Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) and viscoelastic damper (VED) together has been adopted to reduce the seismic response of the structure.
