본 연구의 목적은 국내 이주 여성을 대상으로 적합한 한국어 교육을 모색하는 데 있다. 부산, 경남지역의 한국어 교육기관을 조사하여 국제결혼 한이주여성을 위한 교재를 개발 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 2장은 부산, 경남지역을 중심으로 하여 한국어 교육이 이루어지고 있는 기관의 실태를 조사하였다. 여기에서 한국어를 학습하는 학습자와 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 그 결과를 제시하고 분석하였다. 3장에서는 이주 여성들에게 적합한 교재 개발의 필요성과 성격을 살펴보고 이주여성을 위한 기존 교재의 문제점을 분석해 보았다. 이를 바탕으로 교재 개발의 기본 방향과 각 단원의 기본 구성을 제시하였다. 4장에서는 앞서 논의한 것을 토대로 이주여성의 특성을 반영한 교재의 실례를 들어보았다. 초급 교재의 전체 단원을 구성해 보고, 이들의 상황과 여건에 맞추어 교재의 한 단원을 구성하였다. 이제 이주여성화가 되어가는 추세가 우리 사회의 현실이다. 따라서 우리 사회의 일원이 된 이주여성들이 이 사회에서 떳떳하게 살아가기 위해 한국어 교육 분야에서도 이들을 위한 많은 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

This paper is to seek a way to teach Korean properly to the foreign residents. This paper reviewed status quo of schools or institutes which teach Korean to foreign residents in Busan and South Gyungsang province to find shortages to be improved. The specifics are included in chapter 2. A survey of teachers and learners of the language centers was also conducted and analyzed in the same chapter. Chapter 3 reviewed the necessity of special teaching materials for the targeted group and the group's feature. It also pointed out the problems of current teaching materials to suggest the proper direction of material development and its contents. Based on the previous chapters, chapter 4 showed an exemplary material which reflects the characteristics of immigrant wives. An example of a beginner's textbook and full contents of one chapter were introduced. International marriage which brings foreign women to Korea is an irreversible trend, so further studies in Korean language education are required to help them root firmly here.
