이 논문은 경남지역 농산물 58개 품목에 대해 특화계수와 지역성장률차분분석 등을 통해 개별 품목들의 지속적 성장가능성을 분석하였다. 재배면적(사육두수)에 의한 특화계수분석에 따르면 겉보리, 노지시금치, 단감, 마늘, 맥주보리, 밀, 시설딸기, 시설수박, 시설호박, 양파, 노지당근, 떫은감, 메밀, 돼지 등 14가지가 지역특화품목으로 선정되었다. 58개 품목 중 성장유망품목은 모두 10개로 돼지, 양파, 노지당근, 노지시금치, 겉보리, 사과, 시설호박, 밀, 떫은감, 노지토마토이다. 기타 48개 품목은 정체·사양품목으로 분류되었다. 이 연구에서는 성장가능성 범주에 따라 그에 맞는 정책대안을 제시하였다.
This paper analyzes the potential of sustainable growth of 58 agri-products in Gyeongsangnam-do using location quotient and regional growth rate differential analysis. Location quotient analysis based on cultivation acreage (or the number of breeding heads) shows that 14 agri-products are specialized agri-products. Among 58 agri-products, 10 agri-products are selected as growing portential agri-products and the other 48 agri-products are classified as stagnant/declining agri-products. This study suggests policy alternatives for each agri-product according to its classification.
