咸安을 본관으로 하여 함안에 세거해 온 咸安趙氏는, 趙鼎, 趙丹碩으로 이어지는 上祖가 있지만, 文獻에 의한 고증이 불가능하고, 또 함안과 관계된 기록을 찾기 어렵다.
高麗末 琴隱 趙悅에 이르러서야 함안에 정착한 확실한 기록이 있다. 琴隱으로부터 치더라도 이미 600년이 넘는 오랜 기간을 한 곳에서 살아왔다. 중간에 晋州 靑松 등지로 移居한 일파도 있지만, 대대로 함안에서 최대의 성씨로서 집성촌을 이루고서 많은 인물을 배출하며 살아 왔다.
琴隱의 高麗王朝에 대한 節義를 지켰고, 漁溪가 生六臣으로서 志節을 지킨 이래로 門聲이 더욱 널리 퍼졌다. 丁酉再亂 때 大笑軒이 순절함에 따라 명문이 되었다. 대소헌의 學問과 忠節은 琴隱 漁溪로 이어지는 가문의 전통과 南冥이나 남명의 제자들로부터 받은 실천위주의 교육과도 밀접한 관계가 있다고 할 수 있겠다.
그 동안 9명의 문과급제자, 13명의 忠節 등 많은 인물을 배출해 내는 등 학문과 충절로 이름난 집안이 되었다.
大笑軒이라는 걸출한 인물이 나오는 데는, 오랜 기간 咸安趙氏 가문의 선조들의 온축된 傳統과 기운이 그 바탕이 되었던 것이다. 대소헌이 배출됨으로 해서 咸安趙氏 가문은 전국 어느 가문에도 손색이 없는 높은 위상을 획득했다고 말할 수 있다.

Haman Cho family origined in Haman, have lived for long time through many generations. Chojung or Chodansuk known as the progenitor Haman Cho family, hard to find records related to Haman.
At the end of Goryeo dynasty, Choyeol had settled in Haman. Since then already over 600 years. From generation to generation Haman Cho family have produced the many figures and became the largest family town fulfilling the many family people.
Because Geumeun had kept the loyalty Goryeo dynasty, and Eogae as six servants of loyalty had kept the constancy for Danjong, Thus, the reputation of the went of Haman Cho family have increased gradually. Moreover, due to Daesohyeon's martyrdom, Haman Cho family have became very distinguished family. The study and loyalty of Daesohyeon was closely influenced from the tradition of family loyalty originated his ancestors as Geumeun and Eogae and the practice-oriented education of Namyeong as his mentor, and Namyeong's disciples.
Since the beginning of Chosnn Dynasty until the end, Haman Cho family had produced a lot of talented person, For example, 9 people passers of imperial civil examination, 13 people loyal retainers.
For appearance of the outstanding figure like Daesohyeon, have based on the of Haman Cho family traditions and spirit for long time. Daesoheon's descendants in the Cho family were very famous, not only Haman but also all over the country in which the family is not inferior to high phase.
