본 연구의 목적은「A landscape in mind, 마음 속 풍경」이라는 전시를 통해 인간이 살아가는 사회변동에 따른 사회구조 문제, 개인의 가치관 혼란과 약화, 인간소외에서 야기되는 문제에 다가가고 있다. 그리고 마음이라는 공간을 설정하여 그 안에서 자아의 성찰과 타자와의 소통을 모색하며 나아가 인류사회의 관계를 재인식하고자 한다. 「A landscape in mind」는 그 안에서 등장하는 마음의 공간과 그 공간의 변이, 그리고 자아와 자아의 확장을 통한 타자와의 관계를 질들뢰즈(Gilles Deleuze), 프로이드(Sigmund Freud), 샤르트르(Sartre Jean Paul), 부버(Martin Mordechai Buber)의 개념들을 이용하여 설명하고 있다. 그리고 이 개념들은 작품 속에서 자신의 자아를 대입해 보고 자신의 관계를 인지하는 역할을 하고 있다. 이와 같이 연구를 통해 자아와 대상, 타자와의 관계를 인식하고 자신의 의식과 무의식 의 공간을 이해하고 바라봄으로써 새로운 관계를 형성할 수 있다. 우리는「A landscape in mind」라는 작품공간을 현실로 대입함으로써 자신의 자아를 찾고 자신의 자아 확장을 통한 타자와의 관계 맺기, 또 한편으로는 자아의 초월을 이야기 할 수 있다. 그리고 이러한 과정에 의한 결과는 결국 사회 속에서 자아의 성숙된 의미를 구현하는 것이다.

The objective of this study is to approach the problems caused by social structural problems, confusion and weakening of individuals’ values, and human alienation in accordance with changes in human society, through the exhibition called 「A landscape in mind」. And this study aims to seek for introspection and communication with others within a space of mind, and furthermore to newly understand the relationships of human society. The relationship with others through the space of mind, change of the space, and ego and ego expansion shown in the 「A landscape in mind」, is explained by using the concepts by Gilles Deleuze, Sigmund Freud, Sartre Jean Paul, and Martin Mordechai Buber. These concepts are playing roles in substituting one’s ego and cognizing one’s relationship in the works. By recognizing ego and objects, and relationships with others, and then understanding and viewing the space of one’s consciousness and unconsciousness through this study, a new relationship could be formed. In the 「A landscape in mind」, it would be possible to build relationships with others through the expansion of ego, and also to talk about the transcendence of ego by finding one’s ego through the substitution of work space into reality. And eventually, the results of this process are to realize the mature meanings of ego within society.
