1955년 8월 국내에서 처음으로 공표된 음악과 제1차 교육과정부터 현행 2015 개정 교육과정에 이르기까지 국내 중등음악교과서에서의 도막형식은 서양음악의 음악형식론의 발전과 더불어 변모되었다. 이러한 영향으로 국내 음악 교과서에서는 종지와 선율적 디자인을 중심으로 서술된 초기 교육과정에서의 도막형식이 점차 마디 수에 의하여 분류 되었다. 본 논문에서는 마디 수가 아닌 마침이라는 화성적 요소를 도막형식을 판단하는 중요한 요소로 삼아, 국내 가창곡에 적용될 수 있는 도막형식을 재정립하고, 도막형식을 유형별로 분류하여 가창곡들의 형식을 분석할 수 있는 발판을 마련하였다. 필자가 제안 하는 도막형식이론은 이전과는 다른 일관성 있는 결과를 도출할 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 있다고 여겨지며, 학교 현장뿐만 아니라 앞으로 교과서를 집필함에 있어서도 유용하게 사용되기를 바란다.

The partite form in middle-school music textbooks went through multiple changes together with the development of the Formenlehre in the Western music tradition from the First Educational Curriculum of Korea publicized in August of 1955 to the current 2015 Revised Educational Curriculum. Such changes led to a drastic shift from a perspective in which both the cadence and melodic design serve as a crucial factor to determine a musical form to the other in which the number of bars takes priority over other factors including the cadence. In this paper, we pointed out the problems that one can encounter when she determines the form only by numbering bars and then suggested taking the cadence as an important factor. For this, we began by reestablishing the notion of the partite form which could be applied to a song analysis in the middle-school music textbooks and finally offered alternative analyses to selected problematic songs. The partite form that we propose has reduced otherwise confusion and provided consistent results in viewing a song’s form. We hopefully prospect this research contributes not only to the music theory teaching in classroom but also to the subsequent music textbook writing.
