The purpose of this experimental study is to develop the waterborne silicon acrylic surface finishing material of parking lots. Adhesion strength experiment was conducted in order to enhance performance of the finishing material by adopting modified polyamide resin. The results qualified the standard regarding bond strength which is prescribed in KS F 4937. They are confirmed that the strength tend to increase as the amount of polyamide increased and could be an optimum surface finishing material applicable for parking lot floor.

The purpose of this experimental study is to develop the waterborne silicon acrylic finishing material of parking lots. Resistance-Wheel moving load test was conducted in order to supply basic datum for developing the material by implementing modified polyamide resin. As a result, all the specimens were satisfied by the quality standard regarding dynamic wheel load resistance which is prescribed in KS F 4937. As conclusion, this study confirmed that developed finishing material could be an optimum surface finishing material capable of applying for parking lots’ floors.

As a result, specimens satisfied with the quality standard regarding TVOc, HCHO, Toluene which is prescribed in KS F4937. As conclusion, this study confirmed that the developed finishing material could be an optimized surface finishing material usable for parking lot floor.

Light Emotion Friendly Concrete (LEFC) transmits light through plastic rods inserted in concrete to stimulate emotion and give new image to space. There is a characteristic that can give a diverse and sensuous feeling depending on the change of the diameter and the interval of the plastic. For the application in the field, it is necessary to analyze the mechanical characteristics according to the case. In this study, we investigate the change of the mechanical properties of the light transmitting concrete reinforced with PVA fiber according to the change of the diameter (5mm, 10mm) and spacing (10mm, 15mm, 20mm) of the plastic rod.

This paper presents the findings of the study conducted to evaluate workability and compressive strength characteristics of rapid-setting concrete containing metakaolin. The experimental variable selected was the rate of cement replacement with metakaolin at 0, 5, 10, and 15 percent. The findings are summarized as follows: compared with the control specimens with no replacement rate, the workability and compressive strength of the concrete with 5% of cement replaced with metakaolin were comparable to those of control specimens at 4hours; however, at 72 hours, the compressive strength of the concrete with the same replacement rate was larger than the strength of the control specimens by 4.1%, while no increase in strength was observed at higher replacement rates, implying that the optimum replacement rate of cement with metakaolin is 5%.

In this study, we investigated the possibility of using the cementitious material as a base material for rock vegetation through the measurement of adhesion force, internal friction angle and vegetation observation of green soil. From the results, The adhesion force, internal friction angle measurements and the final growth state were improved than that of the existing green soil, so that it could be effectively applied to rock slope.

Recently, the industrial waste resources have been continually developed because of a lack of natural aggregate. In this study, before the applicability of concrete using steel slag as aggregate, the properties were evaluated. From the test results, it is showed that the water aging period of the steel slag had no effect on the air contents, slump, compressive strength and density.

In order to solve the problem of natural aggregate exhaustion, several types of industrial waste have been studied for recycling of construction materials. In general, steel slag has been used as aggregate in concrete, however, steel slag has a problem of causing volume expansion by F-CaO. Therefore, in this study, the expansion properties are compared with aging period to solve the problem of the steel slag expansion. According to the test results, the expansion of the steel slag decreased regardless of the types of steel slag during aging period. And, the Electronic Arc Furnace Oxidizing Slag(EAF) had the better reduction in expanding than the Converter Slag(CS).

This paper presents basic study and data about anti-stripping functional filler of asphalt concrete utilizing by-product from limestone mine and other relevant industries. Especially ash from fluidized bed heat exchanger is considered as main material for the development of premixed asphalt filler which has good anti-stripping function. Ash from fluidized bed heat exchanger is able to contain calcium hydroxide and anhydrite by hydrating F-CaO, and this could be eco-friendly and anti-stripping functional asphalt filler utilizing by-product from mine and other industry through proper production process and mix with other powders of mine waste rock. Additionally this may have considerable price competitiveness compared to using existing liquid and powder anti-stripping agent.

In this paper, the mechanical properties of hardened concrete were evaluated by using electric arc furnace oxidizing slag(EOS) aggregate. Water-Cement(W/C) ratio was selected as 0.45 and 0.30, and the mixing amount of EOS aggregate as 0%, 50%, 100%. Experiments were carried out to compare the unit volume weights by concrete mixing, and the compressive strength test was carried out at 28 days of age. The unit volume weight and compressive strength of the EOS aggregate increased as the amount of the mixture increased. It also shows the difference according to the W/C ratio.

In this paper, the mechanical properties of fresh concrete were evaluated by using electric arc furnace oxidizing slag(EOS) aggregate. Water-Cement(W/C) ratio was selected as 0.45 and 0.30, and the mixing amount of EOS aggregate as 0%, 50%, 100%. Experimental items of fresh concrete were slump, flow, air content, unit volume weight. As a results, As the mixing amount of EOS aggregate increased, the slump and flow increased but the air content decreased.

In this paper, the changing of durability design variables such as cover depth, surface chloride content, and replacement ratio of GGBFS are considered, and optimum substitution ratio of GGBFS are derived with intended service life. With increasing cover depth, service life increased by 2.78~3.21 times. Cover depth is the most influencing parameters of those in this study. For reasonable durability design of concrete, quantitative exterior condition and critical chloride content should be determined.

The sliding materials for bridge supports are used to ensure the seismic performance or to absorb thermal deformation of bridge decks. The sliding plates in the bridge-bearings directly transfer vertical loads and horizontal displacements to piers. To construct bridge economically, bridge-bearings are required to endure higher vertical load capacity. Therefore, smaller and stiffer sliding materials have been being developed to improve vertical loading capacity of bearings. In this study, friction coefficient tests were accomplished with the sliding materials applied for bridge bearings. Three different types of friction materials (PTFE, C-Lube, and UHMWPE) were tested with equivalent compressive stress, velocity, and displacement respectively. Based on the experimental results of each material, the horizontal stiffness and energy dissipation capacities of bearings were compared and analyzed through the design of the friction pendulum bearing as well.

Domestic agricultural reservoir dam facilities are difficult to manage water resources because of the in summer rainfall increase due to aging and climate change, it is expected that the dam risk will be large due to the overflow. In this study, author selected study basin in order to evaluate hydrological safety of agricultural reservoir dam facilities. And calculated the probable rainfall, Present PMP, Future PMP considering climate change. Also, author carried quantitative analysis out for increasing rainfall due to climate change, analyze freeboard assessment of agricultural reservoir by calculate flood discharge, reservoir flood routing according to rainfall scenarios. As a result of evaluate hydrological safety of agricultural reservoir dam facilities using Future PMP considering climate change, Gosam, Kumkwang, Miho, Cheongcheon reservoir had the Highest Water Level over the design flood level, it is analyzed that it would be vulnerable to overflow risk.

In this study, the durability rating was evaluated to evaluate the safety of bridges considering the factors affecting the corrosion of cables in cable-stayed bridges and suspension bridges. Corrosion factors were considered for salinity, sulfur dioxide concentration and relative humidity. In addition, the durability level was calculated by applying the corrosion rates given in KS D ISO 9223 ~ 9226.

In this study, sodium chloride is directly mixed with binders in order to simulate harsh environments by promoting the corrosions of fibers and cement-based matrix including UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete). The experimental variables are the amount of sodium chloride and material composition such as UHPC, high strength mortar, and normal mortar. The experimental results show that UHPC has the superior capability to resist chloride ions due to its dense microstructures.

This study was performed an evaluation of compressive strength of NSB mortar according to BP contents and curing conditions. As the results of study, compressive strength increase as BP content and curing temperature was increased. When considering the strength properties of BP NSB mortar, the proper BP content and curing temperature are thought to be 20% and 60℃ respectively.

This study investigated the durability performance of concrete to which Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) was applied for penetrating water repellency. As the results of study, From test of the resistance to chloride ion penetration, superior salt-resistance was shown in comparison to plain concrete, by the application of PDMS. Experimental results of SM and IM showed more than twofold improved salt-resistance compared to plain concrete.

The flexural behavior of ECC according to the tensile strain capacity was analytically estimated with the layered section method. Moment-curvature curve was first obtained, then load-deflection relation was calculated. The analytical result indicated that there was noticeable increase in deflection at peak load with the higher tensile strain capacity within 3.0%, and it was found that more than 3% strain capacity did not provide higher deflection but helped improve the load resistance.
