In this study, the static and dynamic displacement responses due to vehicle loadings were measured by Video Gauge System(VGS) technique. The displacement response data were compared with data obtained from laser displacement sensors(PSM)&electronic distance measurement device(EDM) so that the static and dynamic behavior of the bridge under vehicle loadings was examined. The static and dynamic loading test for an earth-anchored suspension bridge, Nam-hae Bridge&Gwang-an Bridge, was performed using vehicles. The accuracy of the deflection measurement using the VGS in the load of the actual bridge was verified.

With the recent earthquake measuring 5.4 in Pohang, attention is being raised to the effects of the structures caused by the earthquake. In this study, seismic effect of the tunnel structure was analyzed by the time history analysis method using the measurement results of the nearby structures. Most of the analysis results showed displacement and stress results of one tenth level of the artificial seismic wave using design seismic acceleration, and the actual field survey revealed that the effects of earthquakes were minor.

This paper presents the seismic assessment of the effect of vertical ground motion on the three-story RC building with different geometric configurations considering the vertical-to-horizontal peak ground acceleration (V/H) ratio increases. The effects of a suite of earthquake ground motion records on three-story RC buildings are presented and the results are compared with the case of horizontal only excitation. Interstory drift was considered as a global failure criterion, while the curvature ductility and shear capacity of structural members were monitored to assess failure on a local level. The effect of vertical ground motion on axial force and shear capacity is also investigated.

This paper proposes a process to predict the maintenance cost for the aging urban infrastructure and to manage the facilities reasonably by establishing the budget execution plan based on prediction. It is anticipated that preemptive maintenance will be possible through this, and it will be expected that the average performance grade of the facility will be improved and the management cost will be reduced through longevity improvement.

Over the recent decades, apartment in Korea have experienced performance degradation. To solve this problem, Long-term repair program has been going on. However that program is applying deterministic model. The repair program using the existing deterministic model can not be taken into consideration of various case, and the number of repairs other than the plan is increasing. Therefore, This study try probabilistic models using Monte-carlo simulation those based on reliability and risk, instead of deterministic those just considering mean value. Probabilistic model of repair cycle will be base of efficient and correct maintenance plan.

The influence of different amount of SiO2 powder on the mechanical properties of cement-quartz composite cementitious material was discussed through the measurement of the compressive strength of the paste with the water/binder ratio of 0.5 and 0.2 where the SiO2 powder with different proportion to replace the Portland cement(PC). The compressive strength test shows that adding SiO2 powder to the concrete with low water-binder ratio can reduce the use of cement.

Chloride attack is one of the most critical deterioration due to rapid corrosion initiation and propagation which can cause structural safety problem. Extended service life through repairing is very important for determination of maintenance strategy. Conventionally adopted models for estimation of LCC (Life Cycle Cost) have shown step-shaped elevation of cost, however the extension of service life is much affected by quality of construction and repairing materials, which means engineering uncertainties in residual service life. In the paper, RC (Reinforced Concrete) column with three different mix proportions exposed to chloride attack are considered, and repairing numbers with related costs are evaluated through probabilistic technique for maintenance. When calculating repair frequency for intended service life through probabilistic model, the required repair frequency is evaluated to be 6.71 times for OPC, 4.09 times for SG30, and 2.95 times for SG 50, respectively. The probabilistic model for repairing cost is evaluated to be effective for reducing the repair frequency reasonably with changing the intended service life and design parameters.

This paper evaluated service life in a RC continuos beam with 2 spans considering loading condition, cold joint, and substitution ratio of GGBFS. Based on the previous test results for 91 and 365 days, changing ratio of diffusion coefficients with applied stress are normalized considering substitution of GGBFS and cold joint. For evaluation of service life in RC continuous beam with 2 spans, non-linear analytical model is adopted. The reduction of service life with cold joint and loading condition should be considered in maintenance even if GGBFS which shows excellent resistance to chloride ingress is used for the RC structures.

In this system have a variety of information that consisted with ground monitoring & settlement data, vehicle running data and track maintenance on track irregularity and so on. Recently, many concrete slab tracks have been adopted in high-speed railway. However, it is vulnerable to roadbed settlement compared to gravel tracks. Therefore, it was necessary to evaluate the long-term performance about roadbed and track of the concrete slab track. In this paper, the performance of track and roadbed is evaluated using long-term high-speed rail data. The measurement items are the Wheel load, Lateral load, Acceleration, Road pressure. The measurement period is from the beginning of construction to three years after opening. For the measurement method, a representative value of the measurement data was selected and compared with the reference value.

This study was carried out on the upgrading of the noise barrier top device developed by 400km/h high speed railway infra research. By modifying the inner shape of the top device installed on noise barrier top, the performance of the first-stage top device was improved, and the weight was greatly reduced as compared with the first stage top device. In addition, the upper part was completed without an installation fixture by the integral method, and the construction was greatly improved. Finally, the upgraded top device was installed on the HONAM high speed railway site and its performance was verified.

This paper reviews the requirements of the sound - absorbing block for the maintenance of the concrete track and suggests ways to solve it. It is applied to the design and production by preparing the shape improvement plan so that the cracks of the road can be observed. In order to secure safety by tunnel lift in the tunnel, the lift generated by computational fluid dynamics analysis is examined to confirm the safety of the sound absorption block.
