In this study, quartile control chart method is tried to apply to determine limit values of dam instrumentation data for dam safety, show asymmetric distributed data, and the example of application is presented. The determined limit values of concrete stress meter and concrete non-stress meter by Shewhart method and quartile method show that the determined limit values by Shewhart method indicate that the majority of instrumentation are on abnormal condition, although the measured values are normal behavior. But, in case of the result of quartile method has such an error. Like this, it is judged that the determination of the limit values of dam instrumentation, show asymmetric and abnormal distributed data, by the quartile method is appropriate. Therefor The quartile method is applied to the determination of limit values of dam instrumentation of K-water.

In this study, risk analysis and assessment was carried out by selecting pilot dams using D-SMART. D-SMART was risk-based evaluation tool of dam for dam safety and was developed in K-water. Dam risk assessment conducted for the first time using D-SMART and the future through additional research, system of risk assessment will be improve.

D-SMART is program of risk analysis and assessment utilize technique for dam safety evaluation. In the future, Dam risk assessment carried out step by step in K-water plans.

There is a growing interest in The 3D Structural Health Monitoring technology through Web Browser, but there are few actual development and applications. This study is development of the Structural Health Monitoring Platform(SHMP) in order to provide owner the structure defect and deterioration by monitoring the state of the structure through the Web Browser. To achieve this, This study applies the visualization techniques such as the color, symbol and text in the 3D Structural Health Monitoring System. Thus, the users may be understood the location and information of the structure. By developing The Monitoring Platform based on the Web Browser, it might be a way that checks user's intuitive grasp of the structural information.

It is required that a compatible model be developed to properly control facility’s damage resulting from diverse natural and man-made disasters. The model is usually established by the results obtained from expert-oriented questionnaire surveys. This study carried out expert-oriented surveys in the field of facility’s disaster control and their results were analyzed using attractive and compatible indices. The survey results show that the applicability index of technologies for facility’s disaster control is the priority rather than other indices.

Improving traffic capacity and vehicle speed is no longer the main focus in transportation because of developments of technology and awareness of the citizens. Therefore, transportation's focus has been changing to solve social and environmental phenomena, such as noise and accident reduction and disaster prevention. One of new solutions that solves transportation problems is porous asphalt concrete pavement that can reduce highway noise and accident in wet condition. This research evaluated the economic characteristics of porous asphalt pavements by selecting associated safe and environmental variables. Also, The research conducted economic analysis between porous pavements and traditional pavements. The results show economic benefits of porous pavements.

This study examines the compressive strength of cementless mortar in order to evaluate its mechanical characteristics according to the admixing of fly ash and blast furnace slag. This result showed that cementless mortar for shotcrete repair materials is profitable for using ZrSF.

To manage the data measured from Honam high-speed railroad(HSR) infrastructure(environmental noise reduction structures, track structures, catenary system), we are trying to establish an integrated database through analysis of the developed infrastructure technologies and standards, construction of prototypes on the fields and evaluation of infrastructure performance according to the increment of train speed. In this paper, integrated monitoring center for management of measured data is suggested.

To estimate an appropriate budget for bridges is essential to develop a medium and long term management strategies. For estimating future budget, a maintenance cost model was developed by the regression analysis considering management budget and characteristics of the bridge stock.

The highway bridges required the maintenance have been consistently increased over 8,000. For long term maintenance strategy, it should be focused on utilizing the systemic information from in-depth inspection data. From now, record-based inspection for highway bridges has been usually performed so that it is needed to investigate the in-depth inspection data for identifying the damage characteristics in detail. In this study, with respective to the performance measure of damage characteristic, damage normalization of highway bridges is researched by using the suggested bridge scales such as area, length, vertical distance, number of members. Based on this process, the standard cost for various damages for highway bridges can be estimated and utilized for long-term maintenance strategy.

According to recent meterological disasters, social awareness for safety of infrastructure is heightened by increasing natural disasters such as Fukushima accident, landslide of Umyeon mountain. Also scale of landslide is increased in Korea but safety review of dam is insufficient. In this study, we reviewed data(reservoir capacity, type of dam, danger map of korea forest service, satellite pictures, geologic map, etc.) and conducted site investigation whose the area is the most dangerous. Based on the results, we choose the most dangerous dam and analysis site close examination, slope stability analysis, scale of debris flow, etc. As a result, we will conduct measures establish on reinforcement and final evaluation of landslide's hazard.

Durability and structural safety of steel structure are severely affected by corrosion caused by deicer material as well as by airborne chlorides in the marine environment. In this study, based on analysis of current status it is suggested that deterioration and durability reduction by the environmental factor such as chlorides should be more reasonably taken into consideration for the accurate inspection and condition evaluation of steel structures.

Depending on the speed up of railway noise problem has become increasingly serious. In general, under the same conditions when the vehicle speed is 300km/h in a 400km/h increases, it is known that an increase in the noise level of 6 to 7dB. Railway Noise can be reduced by improving the vehicle and the track system. Also, the noise barrier and sound absorbing block may be a valid alternative to reduce railway noise. Here we propose a construction method of absorbing blocks are removable to allow maintenance.

This paper developed analysis model with measured data and geometric nonlinearity for more precise evaluation of structure behavior of suspension bridge. This analysis model helps to make plan and evaluate of structure behavior for accidents such as traffic, typhoon and earthquake. Also, this helps to make maintenance and management plan for structure.
