Solar tracker structure is usually installed outdoor. Therefore, the structure can be influenced by wind load and snow load. In this study, the safety evaluation is performed by analyzing the results according to structural modelling and analysis for solar tracker structure. Also, solar tracker structure module is presented under the various design variables.

Based on the analysis and test of concrete box structure under blast load, it was found that the blast retrofit by Kevlar/glass hybrid fabric sheet was more effective than retrofit by Carbon fiber reinforced plastic sheet to improve the structural performance of concrete subjected to blast pressure.

Field test was carried out to verify the performance of high-performance Weigh-In-Motion system which was developed to enhance the precision and durability. As a result, the overall measurement error has been distributed in the range of 5 % for total weight and axle weight of vehicle.

Diverse studies are being conducted on sewage sludge treatment and recycling methods, but the demand for a lowcost treatment technology is high because the sewage sludge has an 80% or higher water content and a high energy consumption cost. We want to apply the thermal hydrolysis reaction that consumes a small amount of energy. The purpose of this study is to quantify the thermal conductivity of sewage sludge according to reaction temperature for optimal design of thermal hydrolysis reactor. We quantified continuously the thermal conductivity of dewatered sludge according to the reaction temperature. As the reation temperature increased, the dewatered sludge is thermally solubilized under a high temperature and pressure by the thermal hydrolysis reaction. Therefore, the bond water in the sludge cells comes out as free water, which changes the dewatered sludge from a solid phase to slurry of a liquid phase. As a result, the thermal conductivity of the sludge was more than 2.6 times lower than that of the water at 293 K, but at 470 K and above, became 0.708 W/m·K, which is about 4% lower than that of the water.

The Purpose of this paper is to suggest sustainable strategies of the project for developing large-scale environment-friendly agricultural districts (LSEAD). This study used assessment 3 indicators, efficiency, impact and sustainability of environmentfriendly agricultural certification area and farmers, management situations of croplivestock circulation center, educations for environment-friendly farming, changes of farmer’s income and so on. This project has contributed to develop environment-friendly agriculture and model of LSEAD. And for sustainable development of LSEAD, it is necessary to renovate crop-livestock circulation centers, promote organic farming of resource-circulation type, converse to non-pesticide or organic farming of low pesticide one, do active marketing activities, establish a governance system of business projects and so forth.

This case study surveyed management situations of environmentally friendly farming (EFF) and their awareness situations. Farmers are aging as an average age of 62-year old. The EFF did not increase farmer’s income, however, farm income of EFF was more than that of conventional farming. Farm household liabilities showed large deviation among farmers. Livestock and greenhouse farm households have more liabilities because of facilities and feed cost. Farmers of EFF have been also cultivating conventional farming, but they don’t plan much conversion intention of conventional farming into EFF owing to lack of differentiated and stable market for their environment-friendly agriculture products. And they are guessing that EFF income will usually not increase more. For increasing of EFF income, they think that it is necessary to enlarge production area, change to high-income crop, develop processing foods, change to organic farming and so on.

Collected germplasms of five representative dandelion species (Taraxacum ohwianum, T. platycarpum, T. platypecidum, T. officinale, and T. coreanum) were 104 lines from different habitates in Korea and China. Their genetic diversity was analyzed by genomic fingerprinting method using amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP). AFLP results of 6 primer combinations were revealed 1,176 total DNA fragments and 523 polymorphic bands with a 44.4% ratio of polymorphism. On the basis of similarity coefficient analysis by unweight pair group method with arithmetic averages (UPGMA), 104 dandelion germplasm lines were ranged from 0.64 to 0.99 and clustered distinct five group depending on the species. Furthermore, a principal coordinate analysis (PCA) by the application of multi-variate analysis indicated significantly greater differences among species than geographical origins.

This paper describes an experimental program to investigate the shear behavior of insulated concrete sandwich panels (CSPs) with different types of GFRP shear connector. The study included testing of 13 insulated CSP specimens with two types of surface conditions for extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation and various shapes of shear connectors. All specimens were loaded in direct shear by means of push-out and were consist of three concrete panels, two insulation layer and four rows of GFRP shear connectors. Load-relative slip between concrete panel and insulation response of CSP specimens has been established through push-out shear test. Test results indicate that the surface condition of insulation has a significant effect on the bond strength between concrete panel and insulation. The specimen used XPS foam with 10mm deep slot shows higher bond strength than those used XPS foam with meshed surface. Corrugated GFRP shear connectors show equivalent strength to grid GFRP shear connectors. Cross-sectional area and embedded length of shear connector have a notable effect on overall response and inplane shear strength of the CSP specimens.

The fruits of Schisandra chinensis have been used as an edible ingredient and traditional medicine in Korea. Due to morphological similarities of dried mature fruits, the correct identification of S. chinensis from other closely related Schisandrae species is very difficult. Therefore, molecular biological tools based on genetic analysis are required to identify authentic Schisandrae Fructus. Random amplifed polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and Sequence Characterized Amplified Region (SCAR) were used to develop an easy, reliable and reproducible method for the authentication of these four species. In this paper, we developed several RAPD-derived species specific SCAR markers and established a multiplex-PCR condition suitable to discriminate each species. These genetic markers will be useful to distinguish and authenticate Schisandrae Fructus and four medicinal plants, S. chinensis, S. sphenanthera, S. repanda and K. japonica, in species level.
