경기도농업기술원 선인장연구소에서는 다육식물 내수시장 확대를 위하여 1998년부터 국내의 재배농가와 종묘업체로부터 유전자원을 수집한 후 2001년부터 2009년에 걸쳐 교배 및 계통선발을 하고 3회의 특성검정을 거쳐서 꽃기린 신품종 ‘파노라마’를 육성하였다. 기존 꽃기린 품종은 포화엽색이 적색, 분홍색 등 단색인 품종이었으나 새로 육성된 ‘파노라마’ 품종은 포화엽색이 녹색과 분홍색(RHS color chart 135B+54C)이 어우러진 복색이면서 고급스

‘퓨어하트’ 품종은 경기도농업기술원에서 2002년도에 육성한 절화용 장미 신품종이다. 이 품종은 1998년도에 화색이 분홍색이며 화형이 우수한 스탠다드 장미 ‘Saphir’ 품종을 모본으로 하고 향기가 있는 백색 스탠다드 장미 ‘Crystal Line’ 품종을 부본으로 하여 교배를 하였다. 1998년에 실생을 양성하여 화색과 화형이 우수한 25계통을 예비선발 하였으며 2000～2002년에 1, 2, 3차 특성검정과 품평회 결과 절화특성이 우수한 KR98-12-2(Gyeonggi R1-2)계통을 최종 선발하였다. 화색은 연한 분홍색이며 화폭은 6.8cm 화고는 4.5cm로서 중형 크기의 스탠다드 형태로 개화하고 화형은 반고심형이며 꽃잎수는 44.8매이고 향기 정도는 약한 편이다. 년간 절화수량은 122본/m2이고 절화장은 66.0cm이며 줄기직경은 6.1mm이고 엽수는 11.0매이며 절화중은 25.6g이고 절화수명은 8.0일이다.

A new cultivar of Rosa hybrida “Orange Flash” was selected from the progenies of a cross between “Lora” and “Timeless” at the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 2000. It was finally selected in 2004 after investigation of the characteristics for three years (2002-2004). “Orange Flash” was developed for a standard type cut flower. The major characteristics of “Orange Flash” are 107stems/m2/year in yield, 24.8 in petal number and 10.9 days in vase life. The cultivar was applied for a variety protection in 2005, and was released to commercial growers in 2006.
