        The study was conducted to investigate the effects of post-incubation period and temperature treatment conditionsduring incubation on the uniform primordia formation and cultural characteristics of oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus). Threekinds post-incubation period; 25, 30, 35 days and control were applied for 30 days while two kinds incubation roomtemperature 23oC and 26oC and control were used 20oC. The substrate temperature during pre-incubation was of ‘Suhan No. 1’and ‘Gonji No. 7’. Oyster mushroom varieties tended to increase between 24oC to 26oC at 11 to 15 days after inoculation andthen they were maintained in treatment temperature during post -incubation period. The CO2 occurrence was at the highest at6,500ppm for ‘Suhan No. 1’ and 5,800ppm for ‘Gonji No. 7’ at the time of the highest temperature increase. The ratio of un-uniformal primordia formation and the ratio of non-commercial fruit body were reduced by 40%, 10.5%, respectively comparedto control for ‘Suhan No. 1’ when in the post-incubation temperature was 26oC, and incubated for 10days and 15daystreatment. Also, ‘Gonji No. 7’ was reduced by 19%, 9.5%, respectively when in the post-incubation temperature was 26oC, andincubated for 10 days treatment. Therefore, the higher post-incubation temperature of room and longer post-incubation periodresulted in the higher percentage of primordia formation of two cultivars.

        Propylea japonica is small ladybug(approximately 4-5mm) and is met with everywhere in Korea. When there was no aphid, the survival rate of P. japonica was 0% among another instar bugs and 26.7~32.8% among same instar bugs after 48 hours. When there were sufficient aphids, the cannibalism of P. japonica was low, so the survival rate of P. japonica was 78.6~95.8% among another instar bugs and 80.6~100% among same instar bugs after 48 hours. In the comparison of the number of eggs at different oviposition site, P. japonica preferred the corrugated cardboard. In experiment using T-tube, the rate of decoy was 81% at cotton aphid compared with pepper leaf and 62% at cotton aphid compared with artificial diet. In the artificial diet using shrimp and chicken liver, the developmental period from egg to adult was 17days and the survival rate from egg to adult was 66.7% but the vitality was not good. These data suggest that P. japonica can be used effective natural enemy for control of aphids and is needed to research about artificial diet, mass rearing system and control effect in field.

        A new rose variety, ‘Venus Berry’ was selected from the progenies of a cross between ‘Boy Friend’ and ‘GSR10315’ by rose breeding team of the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services(GARES) in 2011. ‘Venus Berry’ was crossed in 2007 and seedlings were produced. After the test of specific characters from 2008 to 2011, it was finally selected and named. ‘Venus Berry’ was developed because of distinctive characters such as growth uniformity and high yielding potential. The petal of flower is so thick and has no scratch. A standard type with large sized flower, it has light pink(Red Purple Group 69C) color flower. ‘Venus Berry’ takes 45 days from pruning to blooming and cut flower productivity was 194.1 stems/m2 in a year. The length of cut flower was long with 65.5 cm. It has 10.2 cm in flower diameter and 43.6 in petal numbers per flower. Vase life of the this cultivar could be as long as 12 days.

        A new rose variety, ‘Love Letter’ was selected from the progenies of a cross between ‘Red Giant’ and ‘Ensemble’ by rose breeding team of the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services(GARES) in 2011. ‘Love Letter’ was crossed in 2007 and seedlings were produced. After the test of specific characters from 2008 to 2011, it was finally selected and named. ‘Love Letter’ was developed because of distinctive characters such as growth uniformity and high yielding potential. A standard type with large sized flower, It has red(Red Group 46A) color flower. ‘Love Letter’ takes 43 days from pruning to blooming and cut flower productivity was 152 stems/m2 in a year. The stems of cut flower have no thorn and the length was long with 70.5 cm. It has 9.3 cm in flower diameter and 32.4 in petal numbers per flower. Vase life of the this cultivar could be as long as 12 days.

        ‘그린뷰티’ 품종은 경기도농업기술원에서 2005년도에 육성한 절화용 장미 신품종이다. 이 품종은 2000년도에 화색이 분홍색이며 화형이 우수한 스탠다드 장미 ‘Qvarna’ 품종을 모본으로 하고 향기가 있는 노랑색 스탠다드 장미 ‘Sky Line’ 품종을 부본으로 하여 교배를 하였다. 2000년에 실생을 양성하여 화색과 화형이 우수한 13계통을 예비선발 하였으며 2001~2005년에 1, 2, 3차 특성검정과 품평회 결과 절화특성이 우수한 KR99-62-1(Gyeonggi R1-8)계통을 최종 선발하였다. 화색은 연한오렌지색과 녹색의 복색이며 중형 크기의 스탠다드 형태로 개화하고 화형은 반고심형이며 꽃잎수는 61.2매이고 향기 정도는 약한 편이다. 년간 절화수량은 178본/m2이고 절화장은 64.6cm이며 줄기직경은 6.0mm이고 엽수는 13.6매이며 절화중은 28.6g이고 절화수명은 14일이다.

        ‘레드플래시’ 품종은 경기도농업기술원에서 2005년도에 육성한 절화용 장미 신품종이다. 이 품종은 2000년도에 화색이 적색이며 화형이 우수한 스탠다드 장미 ‘Red Sandra’ 품종을 모본으로 하고 향기가 있는 다홍색 스탠다드 장미 ‘Neon’ 품종을 부본으로 하여 교배를 하였다. 2001년에 실생을 양성하여 화색과 화형이 우수한 90계통을 예비선발 하였으며 2002~2004년에 1, 2, 3차 특성검정과 품평회 결과 절화특성이 우수한 KR00-54-83(Gyeonggi R1-7)계통을 최종 선발하였다. 화색은 적색이며 스탠다드 형태로 개화하고 화형은 반고심형이며 꽃잎수는 35.7매이고 향기 정도는 매우 약한 편이다. 년간 절화수량은 123본/m2이고 절화장은 65.2cm이며 줄기직경은 6.6mm이고 엽수는 11매이며 절화중은 27.3g이고 절화수명은 7.6일이다.

        A new cultivar of Rosa hybrida “Orange Flash” was selected from the progenies of a cross between “Lora” and “Timeless” at the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 2000. It was finally selected in 2004 after investigation of the characteristics for three years (2002-2004). “Orange Flash” was developed for a standard type cut flower. The major characteristics of “Orange Flash” are 107stems/m2/year in yield, 24.8 in petal number and 10.9 days in vase life. The cultivar was applied for a variety protection in 2005, and was released to commercial growers in 2006.

        A new cultivar of Rosa hybrida “Pink Flash” was selected from the progenies of a cross between “Red Sandra” and “Neon” at the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 2000. It was finally selected in 2004 after investigation of the characteristics for three years (2002-2004). “Pink Flash” was developed for a standard cut flower. The major characteristics of “Pink Flash” are 132stems/m2/year in yield, 57.7 in petal number and 8.0 days in vase life. The cultivar was applied for a variety protection in 2005 and was released to commercial growers in 2006.
