Childhood obesity causes a higher risk of obesity, premature death and disability in adulthood. In addition, obese children experience an increased risk of respiratory problems, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, insulin resistance and psychological effects. This study aimed to investigate how an exercise intervention affects health-related physical fitness and inflammatory-related blood factors in obese children after. We hypothesized that there would be positive effects on serum levels of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), connecting peptide(C-peptide) and resistin, as well as in muscle and cardiovascular-related physical capacities, after an exercise intervention in obese children. Thirty-seven obese children haveperformed health-related fitness tests and provided blood samples for the analysis of changes in circulating biomarkers, both before and after an 8-week exercise intervention, which includes stretching, aerobic exercise, resistance exercise and sports games. The results indicate that exercise training beneficially affects body compositions, especially percentage body fat and muscle mass, without influencing to body weight and height. The results of the physical fitness tests show that muscle and cardiovascular capacity were increased in obese children in response to exercise training. Simultaneously, the exercise training decreased circulating levels of C-peptide, which equated to a “large” effect size. Although there were no significant effects on the levels of IGF-1 and resistin, they show a “small” effect size. Therefore, our findings suggest that the exercise intervention have beneficial effects on body composition and physical fitness levels in obese children, whichmight be associated with the decline in circulating C-peptide.
Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and probiotics have mostly consumed as dairy products such as city milk, fermented drinking yogurt and stirred yogurt, and LAB and probiotics have become popular to contribute to the flavor, taste, or preservation of food. In this study the effects of various milk products on the physicochemical properties of pork loin were determined. Pork loin samples were marinated in city milk, drinking yogurt and stirred yogurt for 24 hours, and were compared with the raw pork loin (control). Proximate, pH, color, shear force, electronic nose, and sensory evaluation were investigated quality properties of pork loin. The pre- and post- cooking pH was lowest in pork loin marinated in stirred yogurt(p <0.05). The pre-cooking lightness was significantly higher in pork loin marinated in city milk(p<0.05). The redness of pork loin marinated in stirred yogurt and drinking yogurt were significantly higher(p <0.05), but the shear force of pork loin marinated in stirred yogurt was significantly lower(P<0.05). The sensory evaluation of pork loin marinated in stirred yogurt were the highest(p<0.05). These results showed that various milk product marinating could be used to improve the quality characteristics and flavor of pork loin.
The current study designs the mission orbit of the lunar CubeSat spacecraft to measure the lunar local magnetic anomaly. To perform this mission, the CubeSat will impact the lunar surface over the Reiner Gamma swirl on the Moon. Orbit analyses are conducted comprising ΔV and error propagation analysis for the CubeSat mission orbit. First, three possible orbit scenarios are presented in terms of the CubeSat’s impacting trajectories. For each scenario, it is important to achieve mission objectives with a minimum ΔV since the CubeSat is limited in size and cost. Therefore, the ΔV needed for the CubeSat to maneuver from the initial orbit toward the impacting trajectory is analyzed for each orbit scenario. In addition, error propagation analysis is performed for each scenario to evaluate how initial errors, such as position error, velocity error, and maneuver error, that occur when the CubeSat is separated from the lunar orbiter, eventually affect the final impact position. As a result, the current study adopts a CubeSat release from the circular orbit at 100 km altitude and an impact slope of 15°, among the possible impacting scenarios. For this scenario, the required ΔV is calculated as the result of the ΔV analysis. It can be used to practically make an estimate of this specific mission’s fuel budget. In addition, the current study suggests error constraints for ΔV for the mission.
