The unearthed literature databases such as inscriptions on ancient bronze objects of Shang, Zhou Dynasties, Chu Slips of Warring States Period, bamboo slips and stone inscriptions of Qin and Han Dynasties, which have the property of one-time writing, can reveal some problems in the use of “annotation” words when compared with related handed down texts. The issue of stratification involving the attributes of the times and the annotations of Chinese historical materials are often neglected habitually. This kind of investigation and analysis is an important basic subject for mining language and character knowledge as well as forming a knowledge base for development history of characters. Even for chronological questions discussing the writing of relevant texts, some analysis thoughts may be offered.

It is an irreplaceable important issue in the artificial intelligence (AI) development of the 21st century to establish a database, to recover the related memory, and even to extract big data from written texts in the Chinese characters cultural circle. Theories about the “transitional forms” and “intermediary graphs” of Chinese characters provide theoretical basis for the big data excavation of the written texts in Chinese characters cultural circle. Chinese characters have been deconstructed twice during its long-time development history from the Warring States period to the Six Dynasties period. Experts tend to focus on the first time which is known as “libian” (transformation of the graphic shapes of the zhuanshu into clerical script forms) so there are lots of investigation and research on it. Regard to the second time, as the cursive scripts prevailed, the components of a graph can be reorganized or distorted and some strokes’ order can change the direction in hand-writing process, making a new distinguishing mechanism to produce batches of “transitional forms”. A very few of the “transitional forms” were evolved into “fixed standard scripts”, and a bulk of them were conversely developed as “intermediary graphs” gradually. The first priority for establishing a database for the written texts in the Chinese characters cultural circle is to exclave massive amounts of related information based on big data construction. It is imperative to collect and sort the ancient written letters which are of great value in Japan, Korea and China. This database acts as not only the foundation of the research on history of Chinese writing systems and new historical data, but also the “firsthand data” for revealing the rules of the development of cognitive behavior and intellectual inheritance of human being.

The logic premise and discipline foundation of the construction of Chinese graphology are the unique attributes of the Chinese character system. The most basic feature of the Chinese character is “single character”. The number of “single characters” is as many as hundreds, and their long-history uninterrupted use makes the standardization of the Chinese characters quite essential. The essence of Chinese characters system is ideographic .While the function of single characters or isolated language structure, as recorded in the process of Chinese characters using history, is sometimes to differentiate, which can be taken as a complement with grammatical means. Based on this, Chinese graphology has its independent research object and scope that is the structure ontology and the structure use. This provides that the Chinese character is not only a basic discipline, but also an applied discipline. Under certain historical conditions, it can even become a “famous school”. The research of Chinese characters will inevitably involve two levels, the body and the use of the characters. Phonography does not have such attributes as Chinese characters, so it can not be a specific object of study. As a phonetic character, the number must be very limited, and can be marked for all words. The definition of the properties of the character is unclear, and the object and scope of study is vague, which makes the study of the relations between “Chinese character” and “words” a problem during the process of Chinese characters study.
