        In this study, sensitivity analysis to investigate the effect on analytical results of the aircraft impact analysis parameter for the nuclear power plant was carried out. Verification of the analytical model and method using the test results was performed. The eroding parameter of the Winfrith concrete material model in LS-Dyna and modelling method of the SC wall structure were studied. Finally, these results are to be used for the development of the structural safety evaluation procedure for the aircraft impact on the nuclear power plant.

        Based on the study of chloride migration coefficient and hydration heat evolution, it was found that the use of ternary blended cement was effective to achieve desired service life and minimum crack index. On the other hand, a high level of compressive strength is required for marine concrete mix design.

        According to NEI 07-13 R8, in aircraft impact analysis for new plant design, global structural damage of the target structure can be evaluated analytically using one of the following methods of evaluation: 1) Force time-history analysis method. 2) Missile-target interaction analysis method. It depends on the availability of data on the dynamic characteristics and the intended level of detail of analysis. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect on the analytical results of the aircraft impact analysis method. Several impact analyses using various method were performed for the simplified external SC wall of the APR+ nuclear power plant structure.

        Among the costs composing the life-cycle cost of nuclear containment, the expected loss due to leakage of radioactive material is usually exorbitant, and it takes large amount in the evaluation of life-cycle cost. This study presents a process to determine optimal target reliability for nuclear containments, mainly focuses on its expected loss. It is estimated considering the surrounding environment of nuclear containment. Target reliability of containments having different lifespan can be determined by revising the expected loss estimated from the 20, 40 and 60 years of operation.

        In this study, KS F 2405 was used to investigated the compressive strength of property of high performance concrete (HPC) using the fly ash and silica fume. The experiments were carried out silica fume-binder ratio from 5% (SF5) and fly ash 25%+silica fume 5% (FA25SF5). The compressive strength of HPC determined on 7days and 28days.

        This study mainly focuses on presenting a rational procedure of assessing target reliability level of nuclear containment. The target reliability level can be obtained by considering LCC(Life Cycle Cost) of damage and operation. The LCC evaluation results in the different environmental situations. It is verified that this deviation of LCC can be adjusted by selecting the proper initial target reliability. In addition, slight increase of initial target reliability for the nuclear containment aiming a longer service life, therefore, the total expected loss during the extended service years can be maintained in the same level as the total loss expected in the 20-year service life for the existing containment structures.
