One major regional characteristic of Southeast Asia is that the technology backbone varies significantly from country to country as well as within each country. In terms of technology use in classroom there is a broad range of technologies being used including print, radio, video and computer–based materials. Print materials are still the most extensively used for instructional media. Radio/audio-tapes and television/video-tapes are also widely used in combination with print materials. There are a significant number of initiatives for the use of computer-based materials especially in some of the more developed countries. Singapore and Malaysia are much more advanced in terms of using ICT in classrooms. In Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand, cooperative efforts between government ministries and multinational companies have made it possible to install computers in urban and rural classrooms and train teachers. The government of Brunei Darussalam has initiated ICT initiatives to bring computers into classrooms. Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam have been assisted by international donor agencies in establishing ICT infrastructure. ICT has been integrated into the secondary school curriculum of most Southeast Asian countries, In some countries, the integration has been done in the primary level as well. Factors influencing the use of ICT in the classroom in the region are (1) ICT vision embedded in national policy, (2) ICT infrastructure, equipment, and software, (3) integration of ICT use into school curriculum, (4) support of school leaders, (5) teacher training, (6)technical support, and (7) collaboration with business and communities.

Probation has been one of major punishment alternatives in Korea since 1989 for both juvenile delinquents and adult criminals. The wide use of probation symbolically convey the changing conception of how to treat criminals: the change from treatment in the security-bound prisons to community-based treatment. While the number of criminals under probation has increased rapidly from 4,928 in 1989 to 140,858 in 2001 and the function of probation office has increased, the number of probational officer has been staggered: from 217 probation officer in 1989 to 511 officer in 2002. Based on these discrepancies we easily notice the heavy workload of the probation officers. Through a attitude survey drawn from probation officers, I suggest a few recommendations to improve the practices of probation.

요각류는 수서생태계 내에서 1차 소비자로서 매우 중요한 생물이다. Harpacticoida 목에 포함되는 대부분의 저서성 요각류는 중형저서생물에 포함되며, 전세계적으로 3,000여 종 가량의 해산종이 알려져 있다. 저서성 요각류의 다양성을 파악하는 일은 기본적으로 새로운 생물자원과 유전자원의 발굴이라는 측면에서도 중요하다. 해산 저서성 요각류 다양성 연구의 중요성 및 앞으로의 연구 전망에 대해서 논의하였다.

There were a dramatic change in technical aspect in Korean detergent industry for past 5~6 years. we, detergent industries, have been trying to find out a new way of production and better goods on environment as well as men to decrease domestic wastes and water pollution. In addition, increasing expense for transportation, storage and displaying give us another difficulties. Compact detergents are best method to solve this problems. Detergent ingredients, formulations and process were concentrated to the development of compact detergents. Now, I'll introduce about the recent trends in technical aspect and near future's prospects in Korean detergent industry.
