In the present numerical study, the optimal design of cooling fans for cooling towers was investigated. The key design variables selected were the pitch angle and twist angle of the cooling fan, with the pitch angle ranging from 0° to 20°, and the twist angle from 0° to 10°. The objective was to develop a cooling fan capable of actively responding to varying operating conditions; to this end, the twist angle was implemented as a variable camber at the blade tip. The analysis results showed that, under identical pitch angle conditions, increasing the twist angle tended to reduce the stall phenomenon of the cooling fan. Optimization was performed using the pitch and twist angles as design variables, and lift, pressure drop and torque as response variables. Under the specified operating conditions, a combination of a 5° pitch angle and a 10° twist angle yielded the best performance.

Energy saving in household refrigerators becomes more important as the usage of household refrigerators have been increasing every year. Since a compressor in the refrigerator consumes more than 80% of its total energy, it is necessary to reduce the energy consumption of the compressor. In this paper, the convective heat transfer coefficients on the compressor housing for both natural convection and forced convection were measured. Then, the effect of convective heat transfer coefficient on the power consumption of a refrigerator was investigated using a thermal management analysis. The results showed that convective heat transfer coefficient for forced convection is higher by 7.8 W/m²K compared to the natural convection. In addition, through the thermal management analysis, it was found that the increase in convective heat transfer coefficient reduces the refrigerator power by about 4.8% improving EER by 0.9%.

The purpose of this study is to present a case study of six sigma quality improvement practice in cooling fan motor(CFM) manufacturing processes. In this study, the CFM manufacturing process of automobile parts not relevant to the target process rate of the process point of view, in order to reduce the system to solve the problem of localized resolution procedures of six sigma DMAIC methodology was applied to study. In conclusion , this study 's field D in order to improve the initial rate of inadequate quality management best practices by applying the method of Six Sigma quality CFM failure through stabilization schemes were proposed cost reduction .To be CFM product to satisfy customers based on continuous monitoring of the effective field of claims quality management system is required.
