        For the regeneration of diesel particulate filters (DPF) using non-thermal plasma (NTP), both cost-effectiveness and regeneration efficiency should be raised. This study compared and contrasted the physicochemical characteristics of carbon black and engine particulate matter (PM). After carbon black was put into the DPF, an experimental setup for the oxidation of PM using NTP was created. The findings showed that carbon black and PM samples had comparable oxidation traits, micronanostructures, and C/O elemental ratios. O3, the main active species in NTP, was susceptible to heat breakdown, and the rate of decomposition of O3 increases with increasing temperature. The removal effectiveness of carbon black first improved and subsequently declined with an increase in the NTP injection flow rate during offline DPF regeneration using NTP at room temperature. A relatively high carbon black removal efficiency of 85.1% was achieved at an NTP injection flow rate of 30 L/min.

        Many countries of the world has been devoting a lot of effort to reduce carbon emission. In order to reduce carbon emission, the high efficiency engine has been studied in the automotive industry. Of these, the spread and research of the diesel engine in Europe center are active. However the combustion characteristic of diesel engines have disadvantages of much NOx and soot emissions. In this study, the optimum regeneration point of the forced regeneration type DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) that was equipped in medium-duty diesel vehicles using a mechanical fuel injection system have studied. DPF that is applied to the medium-duty diesel vehicle has a bent inlet pipe. The flow distribution characteristics of DPF according to the influence of the bent pipe have investigated. The flow distribution characteristics of DPF according to variation of the engine operating condition is considered to be useful data In order to decide the optimum regeneration point.

        The aims of research of this paper are as follows; first of all, main contents of technical development are such as. 1. the burner system development for maximum efficiency of diesel particulate filter in low temperature emission gas, 2. the development of white fume reducing system by the second ejection in diesel, 3. the development of burner system for erasing of oxidation catalyzer of the most important role in diesel particulate filter, And the secondhand, expectation effect of this paper is such as. If the mass production of this development is successfully, this system is easy to applicable to small diesel vehicle stopping by low efficiency diesel particulate filter and is increased cost effective and adaptability by erasing oxidation catalyzer.

        This study was analyzed the characteristics of temperature distribution in DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) equipped with partitioned electric heaters. Analysis parameters was used by variation to the length of pipe from exhaust manifold to inlet of filter. The temperature of the exhaust gas flowing into the DPF is related closely to the regeneration of filter. Due to space constraints, the DPF have inlet of bent pipe. The inlet of bent pipe induce the heterogeneous distribution of flow. The heterogeneous trapping of smoke is induced according to the heterogeneous distribution of flow. And the heterogeneous distribution of temperature in DPF is induced. In this study, without the use of assistive devices for even distribution of flow into DPF, the characteristics of temperature distribution in DPF were investigated according to the variation of the length of inlet pipe.

        경유자동차에서 발생하는 입자상물질은 대기오염의 주범으로 인식되어 국내외적으로 이의 규제가 점점 강화되고 있다. 본 고에서는 전 호에 이어 이러한 입자상물질을 제거하기 위하여 가장 보편적으로 사용되는 필터인 세라믹 하니컴 필터에서의 기공 및 필터특성의 조절과 설계에 대하여 언급하였다. 또한 그 외 각종 필터, 즉 세라믹 화이버 캔들 필터, 세라믹 폼 필터, 세라믹 크로스 플로우 필터 그리고 금속 필터 등의 성능 및 제조방법을 정리하였다. 이와같이 후처리장치용 필터로는 수없이 많은 필터들이 개발되어 많은 실증시험을 거치고 있으나 이러한 필터의 본격적인 상용화를 위하여는 재료 측면에서의 보다 많은 연구, 개발이 뒤따라야 할 것으로 판단된다.

        경유자동차에 의한 오염물질의 배출은 주로 입자상물질과 NOx가 문제시되고 있는데 특히 입자상물질은 각종 호흡기질환의 원인 등으로 간주되어 이의 규제가 국내외적으로 강화되고 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 입자상 물질을 제거하기 위하여 사용되는 각종 필터의 특성 및 제조방법에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 먼저 경유자동차에서 발생하는 오염물질 및 이의 규제현황에 대하여 다루었으며 각종 후처리장치의 종류 및 개발현황에 대하여 언급하였다. 다음으로 가장 일반적으로 사용되어지는 필터인 세라믹 하니컴 필터를 중심으로 하여 원료 및 소재, 제조방법 그리고 열팽창계수의 조절 등에 대하여 논하였다.
