The genus Anaclasiger which is one of the myrmecophilous beetle (Clavigeritae) was described by Raffray in 1890 with the type species, A. sinuaticollis. Since then, only one species, A. zhudiae, had been added in this genus. The former species has known to distribute in Singapore (type locality), Taiwan (Raffray, 1914), Malaysia (Nomura & Idris, 2005), Thailand and Japan (Nomura et al., 2006), and the latter has been reported only in China (Yin et al., 2012). During specimens research of Korea National Arboretum, we were recognized one species, A. sinuaticollis, collected by pitfall trap in Mt. Geombong. Therefore, we are going to report this unrecorded genus and species for the first time from Korea. Both the information of the species including diagnosis, habitus and male genitalia, and that of the genus distribution on the map are going to be provided.

The tribe Bythinini Raffray is species-rich pselaphine group including over 600 species distributed worldwide. Despite its diversity, only one genus, Bryaxis Kugelann, has been reported in Korea. In this study, we newly describe Bryaxis sp. n. mainly based on the male antennal modification. We also report a new species of the genus Tychobythinus Ganglbauer from Korea. Members of these two bythinine genera are commonly characterized by the traits of maxillary palpi: elongated second palpomere, shortened penultimate, and enlarged last one. In addition, we conducted phylogenetic analyses to demonstrate the relevance between antennal modification and evolutionary relationship of Bryaxis. To perform the phylogenetic construction, we assembled three mitochondrial genes (cox1, cox2, and 16S) and three nuclear genes (18S, 28S, and wingless) into a dataset. Eleven species of Bryaxis and two Tychobythinus species are included, the latter genus of which are used to root the consensus trees.

Six new species are described that are members of the New Zealand endemic genus Adalmus Reitter (Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae: Euplectitae: Trichonychini: Panaphantina): A. bullerensis sp. nov., A. kanierensis sp. nov., A. karekarensis sp. nov., A. mangamukaensis sp. nov., A. puberilumbus sp. nov., and A. serrilumbus sp. nov. In addition, Dalmisus Sharp is placed as a junior synonym of Adalmus (gen. syn.) and the species Dalmisus batrisodes Sharp, 1886, Plectomorphus longiceps Broun, 1913 and P. longipes Broun, 1912 are placed as junior synonyms of A. velutinus Reitter, 1885 spp. syn. Also, P. rugiceps Broun, 1921 is transferred to the genus Adalmus, comb. nov. Adalmus now holds eight species.

The subfamily Pselaphinae is one of the largest groups in the family Staphylinidae. Pselaphine beetles consists of 6 supertribes. The supertribe Faronitae consists of 30 genera worldwide, with 14 genera in Australia and New Zealand. While examining faronite specimens, we separated 366 specimens that did not belong to any known faronite genera. Species of this genus can be separated from other faronite genera by the foveal system, features of the aedeagus, and collection localities which are only collected in the southern part of Australia. Through this study, we describe seven new species and three new combinations that previously belonged to the genus Sagola.

Goniaceritae is the most speciose supertribe of the subfamily Pselaphinae with more than 3,000 species worldwide. Brachyglutini is the only tribe within New Zealand Goniaceritae, comprised of 8 genera. Physobryaxis Hetschko is monotypic genus of the subtribe Brachyglutina. Although the adults of P. inflatus is close to the members of genus Gastrobothrus Broun, 1882, it is characterized by median antebasal fovea and antebasal sulcus on pronotum. In this study, we report six species of Physobryaxis examining 21 specimens. Illustrations of the habitus, diagnostic characters including male genitalia, and key to the species are also provided. Additionally, we present a distributional map divided into areas based on Crosby’s code.

The genus Nipponobythus was first described by Jeannel in 1958 from Japan based on Nipponobythus syrbatoides Jeannel 1958. Löbl described the genus Machulkaia (type species: Machulkaia mirabilis Löbl 1964), but it was synonymized under Nipponobythus later. Nipponobythus holds 14 species from Korea, Japan and China. Three species (N. chilisanus, N. dolharubang and N. omissus) are currently recorded in Korea. Members of this genus can be distinguished from other pselaphine genera in having concave frons with golden pubescence in males. Here we describe a new species of Nipponobythus from Mt. Gahak, Jeollanam-do, South Korea. This new species is externally similar to N. chilisanus Nomura & Lee 1996, but has differences in male genitalia.

The supertribe Faronitae consists of 29 genera worldwide, and 13 genera in Australia and New Zealand. During examine 36 specimens from the private collection of Donald S. Chandler (Durham, New Hampshire, USA) and the Field Museum of Natural History (Chicago, Illinois, USA), we recognized three species. They does not share diagnostic characters with any known faronite genus. Here we describe new genus and three new species from Western Australia. Members of this new genus can be distinguished by the following combination characters: rostrum with distinct shallow and narrow frontal sulcus, apically sharp and narrow median lobe of male genitalia, and twice longer abdominal segment VI than V.

The Australian genus Logasa Chandler was described in 2001 based on Logasa novaeangila Chandler 2001. Other two species, Logasa tricolor (Oke 1928) and Logasa ventralis (Oke 1928) were originally described as the genus Sagola, and transferred to Logasa by Chandler. During revisionary study using 140 museum specimens, additional three new species was recognized. After type examination of L. tricolor and L. ventralis, we found that they have different diagnostic characters for generic level such as foveal system and male genitalia. However, their diagnostic characters are not included any known faronite genus. Australian faronite fauna has numerous undescribed species. They will revise with other undescribed species for a following study.
